Let's do a watch along where they have Eric talk about nothing that's actually on screen unless it happened 5 minutes ago.

On today's episode, Bischoff mentions that Verne Gagne tried to get him to see Brock Lesnar and sign him BEFORE the WWE talked to him. Good Lord.

He also noted on today's show that his new job with WWE was always going to start this week. It was reported last week on news sites that he wasn't at Smackdown, but he apparently wasn't supposed to be.

They're doing a watch along on the 9/22/97 episode of Raw and I had the player crash halfway through. I had to go back to the beginning, pick a random point in the show and then sync back up that way because it's been at least 15 minutes since they've even talked about anything that's happened on screen.

Eric Joins TNA is this weeks show. I’ve been waiting on this story for years. I forgot they announced the stupid Monday night debacle in Madison Square Garden.

So they release a 4th installment "Best of 83 weeks" earlier Monday. My first thought was well, Conrad could really use a break as well as the viewers as its so easy to forget the prior episodes with his podcast content being over saturated.
They then release the "When Worlds Collide," episode the next day.
What was the point of that? Take a day off once in a while man. Its almost like he's in a race to get as much done as possible.

I genuinely don't know and I'm only guessing, but where they're on a major platform like Westwood One, they may be contractually obligated to release X amount of material

Heard a clip of Bischoff talking about DDP/Macho from Spring Stampede the other day, and boy I'm guessing Eric's been unloading on Vince in recent eps since the firing?

In fact, since the show has started, Bischoff's only real criticism of Vince is over how Vince portrayed himself in the battle against WCW. As someone who worked for Verne Gagne after the AWA had been decimated by the WWF, Bischoff has no sympathy whatsoever for Vince when it comes to that 1995-97 period when WCW was on top.

On today's episode, Bischoff mentions that Verne Gagne tried to get him to see Brock Lesnar and sign him BEFORE the WWE talked to him. Good Lord. I remember back then reading a story that Lesnar actually sat down with both companies and had an interview and he picked the WWF because WCW came off like they had no idea what they were doing.

Maybe they wanted someone to work with Tank Abbott since they gave up on Marc Mero. Or maybe they’d make him Sarge’s son since they look alike.

On this week's show, Conrad read from a 1994 Observer issue where Meltzer said Hogan's initial deal with WCW was expiring at the end of the year, meaning it was for 6 months. Bischoff immediately called BS on that, saying Hogan's first contract with WCW was for 2 years.
