To smarks, yes. To marks, no.

It could well be. I mean this mania does look good on paper, but with the bigger PPV's it always comes down to execution. On the flipside Takeover's give me that feeling I'm about to watch something important (similar to the old school PPV's), its also telling that I don't think I've rewatched any of the last three Wrestlemanias, whilst I've watched the last 5 Takeovers multiple times over.

It's definitely possible, but they really, really aren't comparable shows.

Better question. When has it not been better? Mania being the better show would be the surprise actually.

Guys, Takeover Dallas was so much better than Mania 32. So it is possible. A lot of things are so much better than Mania 32

Is Takeover ever NOT better? I don’t know but this past Rumble weekend was close imo I'll give you that one, though kind of says something that it's between the best Rumble in years and the worst Takeover to date and I'm still kind of 50/50 on it.

And if so why? And if not why not? Yes because I can see the 5 matches I want to see in a 2-3 hour window instead of a 7 hour window. What if every match is booked and wrestled not perfect but good-great?

Match wise it’s possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gargano/Ciampa is match of the weekend at all. Not to mention Black/Almas and the ladder match.
WrestleMania has Daniel Bryan’s return, and nothing is gonna top that moment.

This will be about as even a contest as I’ve seen it. NXT’s got consistency on their side as they’ve never put out a Takeover that could be deemed bad, but if all of WrestleMania’s pieces click into place 100%, that could be an all-time great card.
(By the way, I like how the pre-show suddenly counts when it’s to take issue with the overall runtime)

It'll be 4 hours shorter. So, basically, yes.

Takeover will 100% be an easier watch and I have more faith that they won't book something that will piss people off just for the sake of it. Like they're not going to book 90% of the matches to be won by a heel just so Roman gets a bigger pop because a face finally won.
