Just rewatching it and 2 quick observations..
The Saudi national anthem is tremendous.. And immediately following up with the American one is hilarious and a bit awkward haha.

PRIMO! ONE MEMBER OF THE BOARD IS THRILLED! I was! I got it on video and he was there in a thobe so it was a pretty good deal. (I also don't think his botch was that bad on a night where guys were dropped on their heads and you had Titus being Titus. It wasn't great but it was covered up well.) I was happy to see him. But my reasons for attending ended up being more personal. I'm the type who avoids going out of my way to do something if there's even a whiff of that something being inconvenient. This ended up being a little inconvinient. I got a headache and sat so far from the ring that the wrestlers ended up looking like very visible ants. I'm glad I went overall, but I hope in the future, it will be less about playing to the princes in the VIP seats and more about the fans. Just about anyone who isn't part of the elite had a not so great view.

I thought the show mostly sucked, but the Rumble match was very good. The Taker match was better than it had any right to be. Cena/Trips was fine. It was hard to get into much else, because the crowd was dead and the visible rows kept not paying attention to matches which sucked away from things.

I can't believe the positive reaction this Rumble match is getting. It was hilarious, but it was predominantly terrible and had an outrageously weak lineup for a company with as much talent as WWE has. It was unremarkable but I thought it was fun to watch. For what it was and the wrestlers they had to work with I thought it was put together at a good pace, the match went fast. Watching Daniel Bryan make up for lost time was a great performance. With the benefit of not watching live so I could skip through parts, I liked this show for the unique atmosphere, no real classic matches or anything but it was interesting anyways.

so did this one usurp 1992's claim as being the Greatest Royal Rumble?

so did this one usurp 1992's claim as being the Greatest Royal Rumble? the 1990 Rumble will always be the best one

so did this one usurp 1992's claim as being the Greatest Royal Rumble? It was better than either the 1999 and 2015 Rumbles. A bunch of indy geeks in a backyard could probably put on a better Rumble than either so it's not really saying much.

I finally finished the show and I can honestly say this was the most uncomfortable show wwe has ever produced nobody seemed like they wanted to be there and the announcers seemed really off heck even John Cena who has made a career of faking sincerity seemed like a bored robot. This Show came across like wwe selling their souls to do a 6 hour paid advertisement for Saudi Arabia. It had less than houseshow level effort on a huge budget and it felt like you could easily skip and you’d miss nothing of importance.I hope Hunter The Creator and Stephanie The Created’s kids never google Saudi Arabia.
Show thoughts: Cena/HHH was bad just sooooo slow and plodding. These 2 struggled to have decent matches a decade ago and Cena’s last Good match was against AJ at Rumble 2017.
Just announcing matches with no tv build did this show no favors.
Jinder/Jeff.I have a low expectation level when it comes to Jinder matches and this was beneath that.
The IC ladder match.I’m not a fan of multi man ladder matches for no reason but these guys worked hard and this was far and away the best thing on the show.
Brock/Roman was terrible and I never need to see them wrestle eachother ever again.
The Rumble was okay but nothing special rumbles work best when you have good booking throughout the year,a person putting it together with a clue, announcers that remember storylines and fans that are invested in the product...seeing we don’t have any of those factors we need to rely on the few guys that are actually over and then surprises and this match didn’t have enough of either of those things to merit it taking place.

I love that the OSW podcast is taking this stand against the show.
Tell me more about how you care about women, show that never mentions a single female without talking about how hot she is and how big her ass is. Tell me more about how you hate racism when your patreon name is just a huge joke on saying the N-word. Please. Go on.

Watching this right now and some comments about the GRR match.
- Sin Cara can still go. - Henry and Bryan corsping after Mike gets eliminated lmao. - Henry did well, I'm glad because I'm all for Big Mark getting his. - Announcers cracking up all the way through. That's how I like my announcers, just having fun like us with no stress. - Kofi got his save in and the Nese elimination was dope. - Goldust got his groove back. - Angle got his shit in which I'm glad for. - Elias eliminating that many dudes is crazy lmao. - Gulak's not what he used to be. - "I'm pretty sure Dawson eliminated himself" lmfao. - Rey's still so f***ing cool man rofl. Dude out here looking like a modded Tekken character. - Mojo is a f***ing joke man stop giving him all these eliminations. Dude ain't even get heat. I got an idea. Give him a lumberjack shirt with a MAGA hat. THAT'll give him heat. - Big E is a fool lol. - Apollo getting Gable out was a surprise, damn lol. - Strong f*** yeah didn't expect that shit lol. Dude was wrecking fools this thing. Man almost killed Rey Rey lol. That Bryan shit is crazy!! - Orton got the crowd the minute he came out. - Babatunde? Geez. Looking like a Slim Brodus lmao. - Corbin LOVED wrestling Rey lol, he smiled after that Deep Six. Hell everyone loves mixing it up with Rey. - Bryan and Orton randomly chatting this match lmao. - That Tidus shit is still funny lmao. Ref cracking up. Orton and Bryan cracking up lmao. - They're doing a great job at making Lashley and Strowman seem somewhat equal although not in the end as Strowman was clearly on another level. - Bryan breaking Rey's record makes up for him not winning. This was him proving to the company that he's in perfect condition. - Strowman winning is ok with me.
Overall there's 7 guys I'd say who made this match, 7 guys who stand out the most.
- Bryan due to his record time. - Strowman for winning and breaking the elimination record. - Tidus for his botch. - Elias for getting 5 eliminations and holding down the latter half for the midcard. - Ziggler for basically being the Elias of the first half of the match, that midcard heel who held things down. - Mysterio for being that veteran who made guys look great. - Orton for the same reasons as Mysterio.

oh and NONE of those records should stand, for being a 50-man "rumble type match"
