British Pakistani.
My Mum came to England as a teen to study and get her degree and then later married my Dad and brought him over here. Which is interesting because it's usually the other way round in our culture.
Culturally, I'm largely British/Western but there are certain facets I've never embraced due to my own upbringing and religious beliefs.
So you have this amusing situation where people in England can tell by looking at me that I have blood from the East and people in Pakistan can tell by looking at me that I was brought up in the West.

I'm 95% Caucasian with 5% possibly Arabic, Latin or Iberian when it comes to genetics. Broadly though? I don't like ascribing any label beyond my faith because they tend to divide. Iberian is Caucasian isn’t it?

People in Spain Italy Portugal etc are white though Hispanic (A term I didn't want to use as it can be contentious) or Latin isn't Caucasian. Hell, even in the treatment of some illnesses (Malaria for example) medication in the past has caused issues because of those differences.

European Spanish people are Hispanic, but not Latin. Latin is specific to Latin America, unless you're somehow able to trace your lineage all the way back to the pre-Rome Latin Italic tribe.

Whitest of the white boys, both sides of my family have been in the US since before the Revolution. French name, but heritage is mainly a mix Scottish, Welsh and Irish.

For those that are more than one ethnicity when you fill out forms that ask what your are,do you check the other box like I do? I have done this since I started working and most of the time I get asked why I checked it. But to me it is the only choice presented the reflects what I am. Not like there is a box that says "White/Asian/Hispanic".

Paternal grandfather (and namesake) immigrated from Germany in 1927. (Although the town he was documented from - depending on the day - could have been located in Germany, Poland or Czechoslovakia. It doesn't exist anymore, town was swallowed up by another known for their famous dishware. That no longer exists either.) Paternal great-grandmother is also from Germany. Mom says her family are from the "old country"; the Ohio-Pennsylvania area. And been there probably since the beginning of colonization. Her maiden name is Scottish.
