In light of Bruno's passing, I thought I would rewatch the 2013 HoF induction with him...
Bob Backlund, who I always enjoyed, I never thought would have had such a fun and genuine induction speech. Bob is truly someone to look up to.
Any other speeches you were surprised by?

Wasn't sure if I'd like the Rock n Roll Express Speech but holy hell was it a ton of fun and Cornette's induction of them may be one of the best I've ever heard, he made them sound like godlike rockstars

The Bushwhackers' speech was a hell of a lot more fun than I expected it to be. It was badly needed after the heartwrench of Connor the Crusher.
Seeing Bret Hart doing the Bushwhacker walk up to the stage and back again is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

I didn't expect to enjoy Goldberg's speech.
But then, I didn't.

The Iron Sheik. a guy who played the ultimate USA hating heel, who in real life embraced the USA more than a lot of people born here ever did.

I don’t care for Michael Hayes, but the Freebird induction was pretty fun.

Stan Hansen's. Not that I think it would have been bad but look at his matches and then look at the speech. Talk about your 180s.

Sherri is Exhibit A for me. Wasn't thinking I'd enjoy it. Turned out to be one of the best speeches of the HOF era.

I didn't expect to enjoy Goldberg's speech. But then, I didn't. He is still giving it.

I thought Bret's would be boring, but he was an amazing storyteller and got some genuinely amazing laughs.

I’m not sure how many were paying attention to the speech because, whenever he’d bring up Bruno Sammartino, they’d cut to him and seated nearby in camera shot was Becky Lynch. Yeah, we all remember how that kept turning out.

Zbysko. I was prepared for another boring speech about the way the boys used to do it back in the day, but hearing him talk about struggling to earn Bruno's admiration was a hell of a story.

The Bushwhackers' speech was a hell of a lot more fun than I expected it to be. It was badly needed after the heartwrench of Connor the Crusher I’ve never finished that show. Dana Warrior gave her speech, and it made me cry. Then Daniel Bryan gave his speech, and it made me cry. Then Connor’s father accepted the Warrior Award, and it make me cry. Then Connor’s younger brother said “I love you, Connor”, and it ended me.

The Ultimate Warrior's. I didn't expect to even understand a word of it, let alone have it be anything of substance. It turned out to be a beautiful speech.

Mr T.
It's also the only Hall of Fame speech I've ever bothered to watch. That's how powerful it was, mama.
