What is one piece of pop culture or work that you just hate? Irrational hatreds are especially welcomed I don’t really consider myself easy to please so despite being the OP this thread probably doesn’t apply to me. I will say that I disproportionally dislike boy bands from the late 1990s/early 2000s. It stems from being a preteen/teen during that time. Not only finding some classic music from decades past, but growing to better appreciate music I was already into like Nirvana, Guns N‘ Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Clash etc. Then being told I was an idiot because the Backstreet Boys was the greatest thing ever and all that old stuff was stupid. It’s only for this time period too that I still can never let go of some of that bitterness. By contrast I don’t have any issue with boy bands who came before like New Kids on the Block or ones who came after like One Direction.

I will listen to pretty much anything music wise, but I have grown to really dislike Greta Van Fleet. My radio station acts like they're the best thing ever, constantly talking about how they sound like Zeppelin, and wanting Robert Plant to hang out with GVF's singer and it gets so tiresome, heh. I'd rather listen to any band with a somewhat original sound than constantly have to hear about how these guys are the new Led Zeppelin.

Buddy cop procedurals and all of their related programs. Mostly any variation of "super talented but unorthodox rookie with special skill learns from the master!" narratives.
Case in point: dude from suits with the perfect recall

not sure how relevant in pop culture but the movie Crash, as in the Oscar winning version, I have been on rants of how I feel about this movie

I always thought the boy band hate was silly, even as a kid. I wasn’t into the whole scene but I was able to realize how talented *NSYNC, New Edition and others were. When 98* put out that one song with Stevie Wonder they earned a fan in me.
Dunno about “irrational hatred” but I haven’t been able to get into House. I gave the show a chance a couple of times, and I just found the title character off putting.

I'm pretty relaxed about most pop culture institutions, but how reality dreck like Chrisley Knows Best not only makes it on TV, but gets repeatedly renewed and has an actual active fanbase is beyond me. I'm not sure I've ever seen a television show that painfully unfunny in my life.

When 98* put out that one song with Stevie Wonder they earned a fan in me. "True to Your Heart" was an amazing song that should've been more of a hit. That film's soundtrack is good from top to bottom.

Pearl Jam. Hate the music, hate Eddie Vedder's voice, and it really grinds my gears no one called him out for his stupid stunt at the Grammy's. If you think the award is worthless then just decline the nomination and don't show up. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too by accepting the award, but also claiming he was too much of an artiste for it.

I feel like I am the only person ever to not like heavy metal or the Beatles. They have a few rare (and I mean RARE) songs that I may find catchy, but most of their collective libraries are dull.

Really good question right here. I am not very hard to please. Hell, even when the whole boy band/girl singer (Funny how it was mostly female solo acts, when the girl groups were tossed into the back-burner, except for maybe Dream) craze was going on, I remember hating on the boy bands, but deep down, I enjoyed some of the songs, as cheesy as they were.
I will note that I never really got into metal music. I mean, yes, when I was about 12 or 13, I did get into Rob Zombie/White Zombie, and I do enjoy Metallica and Megadeth, but that is about as far as I will go. I don't hate metal, but really, what annoys me more about metal music is the fanbase rather than the music.

Another one is the MCU, While I don't despise it or anything i get tired of people trying to get me to care about it. You like it and are looking forward to Infinity War then whoopee for you, Whenever someone tries to talk MCU to me then my instant reaction is *Language* www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCNC_vf7R2g

Deadpool and The Walking Dead take the cake for me. I am SO f***ING DONE hearing about them. I'd add Game of Thrones, but I kinda get the appeal there.

I can usually find something redeeming in everything, even things I dislike/hate, but wow even 15 years later Jet's "Are You Gonna Me My Girl?" a rancid abortion.

I've been told I'm easy to please a lot by people that know me.
Lifetime/Hallmark movies have done a lot of damage to a segment of society's opinion on what makes a healthy relationship.
