Had worse came to worse and Vince actually gone to jail back in the day, most people say Jerry Jarrett would have run the company while Vince was gone. If this had happened what do you think the WWF would have looked like during that time? Would we be looking at a history of many old Memphis guys having won big things in WWF? Like a Lawler World title run or a Rock-n-Roll Express tag title run?

No. It's already been clarified that he'd simply be carrying out Vince's instructions while in jail. Would've been the same product either way.

That has been made clear by one person who dislikes Jarett in his podcast. Others who were there at the time ,JJ Dillion for one, have disagreed.

Huh? Oh well...you know? You take the car, you know? and then you, you know? Go to the jail, you know? And, you know? Get the word from Vince and you know? Pass it on to creative, you know? Then you know? Give word back to Vince, you know?

So Vince hired Jerry Jarrret just to be a go between even though Prichard or Patterson could have done the exact same thing? I don't buy it. He was hired to run wrestling operations day to day and to book. What Bruce says, that Vince just brought him to be on the team, makes zero sense. Why hire someone with that much experence and sucess as a booker if you aren't going to have them book?

Well, you know.
I can see Vince as a mob boss in prison, giving instructions through proxies.

The locker room would've revolted.
Jerry f***ed a lot of wwe stars in payoffs in Memphis. He paid Rock, Austin and Foley, starvation wages. He paid the Undertaker so little money that Taker had to sell his dog to a lady for fifty dollars because he couldn't afford food.

If they didn't rebel when he was brought in originally, they wouldn't have rebelled at all. The WWF weren't paying lowercard guys that well at that point either, Bob Holly could only afford to stay on the road because of Sid's generosity and Justin Credible/Aldo Montoya had to sign an agreement not to go to WCW in order to get out of a similarly abysmal contract.

They didn't revolt because Jarrett was never the boss he was just a consultant, if he was put in charge if Vince went to prison then believe me, everyone important would've left for wcw just so they wouldn't deal with Jerry.

They didn't quit when Bill Watts was hired after his WCW disaster, they didn't quit when the kliq were making everyone miserable, they didn't quit when payoffs were being slashed across the board from 93 onward, they didn't quit when Vince Russo shaved ten years from careers with the brawl for all and other high octane stupidity... Jerry Jarrett was never ever going to cause a mass walkout, because he was never going to have the power to run the WWF as he did memphis, Vince would be gone but Linda would remain, as would the rest of the Vince guys.

Ok Watts was brought as a consultant he never had power, Kliq were not the main bookers in the company. You're right the wwf paychecks were horrible. If Jerry Jarrett was put in position to be the main booker, which is debatable since apparently Vince was prepared to run the company from his f***ing cell, there would've been mass walkouts. Jerry Jarrett is one of the most hated promoters ever, at one point he paid less than food stamps. Jerry Jarrett became rich and owns a f***ing mountain while guys were eating raw potatoes in his f***ing shithole of a territory.

Well, you know. I can see Vince as a mob boss in prison, giving instructions through proxies. That was the contingency plan apparently. I just want to see Vince speak in carny to Bruce and Pat so the guard doesn't understand them.

In all seriousness, Macho Man would probably have stayed around and been pushed, as Jarrett has said he disagreed with Vince letting his name brands go. Lawler would probably have been given more feuds rather than off and on again with Bret Hart and a run with Doink. Cornette and Smoky Mountain probably do more cross promoting and Vince Russo's booking power may never have come to pass.
