I think it's gotten harder to choose as they moved to an era where the WWE brand itself and the name WrestleMania itself are a big part of the draw, as well as the move to having split rosters. I couldn't begin to choose this decade's four people. Cena, Brock, Roman, Charlotte popped into my head, but that doesn't feel right.

The fact that so few people have said flair and no one has said sting is insane

Hmmm...nice thread but I think if we did it by each 5 years it would be better IMO.

This is tough because most of you have put the Rock in the 90s, when he raise started late 98 as a Main Eventer but later 99 and 00 he was the biggest star in wrestling, from 00 to 02 The Rock was the number one face in the company and was everywhere in Mainstream. Savage was another late 80s and early 90s dominate force. People also forgetting this is the WWE mountain not all of wrestling. Sting and Flair are on the NWA/WCW mountain.
I see it like this.
80s. Andre Hogan. Piper. Backlund
90s. Savage Bret. HBK. Austin
2000s. Triple H. Rock Cena. Undertaker
2010s. Punk. Bryan. Styles Lesnar

1980s: Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Rowdy Roddy Piper This, to me, is the most difficult decade to choose. I went with Andre over Bob Backlund, but I could definitely see arguments for doing the opposite.
1990s: Bret "Hit Man" Hart, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin I'm seeing a lot of people put The Undertaker here, but I don't think the peak of his career came until the following decade.
2000s: John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Undertaker I haven't seen many people include Shawn in this decade despite the fact that he was one of the greatest wrestlers on the planet for most of it.
2010s: Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Roman Reigns I hope my inclusion of Bryan isn't me being biased, but at least it makes more sense than anyone naming CM Punk for this decade.

I add up Main Events, title length and importance to the corporate WWE Brand. So basically what Vince would look at. If quality and popularity mattered 50% of these people in my list would not be in there like I said.

The problem with the “Mount Rushmore “ question in wrestling, especially a company as massive and storied as WWE, is that each decade has been dramatically influenced by so many performers that narrowing them down to just four names excludes too many notable people.
That said, I’d go:
1980s: Hogan, Andre, Savage, Piper 1990s: Undertaker, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Austin 2000s: Rock, Foley, HHH, Cena 2010s: Cena, Bryan, Lesnar, Orton

In the 90's you have to go Bret over HBK. A lot of people are letting HBK's comeback effect the ranking. In the 90's Bret was the man from late 1992 until he left in 1997. Shawn was the man from 1996 until his back injury in 1998, basically two years versus Bret's 5 years.
Over the course of an entire career Shawn clearly sits above Bret based on his longevity but if you're picking one to represent 1990's WWF, then it has to be Bret. I'd argue both belong on the 90's Mount Rushmore.
80's: Hogan, Savage, Andre, Piper 90's: Bret, HBK, Austin, Rock 00's: Triple H, Cena, Undertaker, Jericho 10's: Cena, Reigns, Bryan, Lesnar

I'm going to use only WWF/E and a wrestler can only make one decade:
80s - Hogan, Savage, Andre, Piper 90s - Austin, Rock, Bret, Shawn 00s - Cena, Orton, Batista, Triple H 10s - Lesnar, Reigns, Bryan, Punk
