I'm a little surprised they're doing Naito/Jericho and the NEVER three-man right away; I thought they might do a Suzuki/Naito rematch first and let Jericho get involved again there, and maybe do Goto/Elgin first and save the winner vs. Taichi for San Francisco. Still, though, add in the winner of BoSJ challenging Ospreay and a couple other matchups and this card is shaping up to be pretty stunning on paper.

Man, this card looks real good right now. Hopefully they'll make Jericho/Naito a No DQ match.

Put me on board for expecting Naito/Jericho to be at the G1 Special. But man, this card looks stacked, also good to see Mysterio coming back, thought maybe he was back with WWE and wouldn't be doing the shows.

I read the thread title as “Demolition 2018” and it chalked up some sad imagery of Ax and Smash working an indy show at a high school gym.

Looking like a pretty good card
Naito should bring his A game to this match but it will be key to see what his next step is and how the Omega/Okada finish effects him

Not sure if they'll do the NEVER trios since the bucks are in another match.
Could freebird it and have Chase and Yujiro defend them with Scurll

Again, Omega is in a must win here. If he doesn't win this one I can't see him staying in NJPW next year. For what? It would be clear they aren't putting the title on him. I'm only concerned with the Cody aspect of this show. What is he doing?

Yeah, Kenny winning the belt or not here likely has exactly zero to do with whether or not he'll ever go to WWE. That said, this is likely Kenny's last shot at Okada that he can get during this reign, so it's certainly a big deal.

Along with being able to control what he does and the storylines he's involved in instead of waiting for a bunch of people to come up with ideas for him. I mean, if he goes, he goes but dude doesn't seem like the guy who NEEDS to go right now.

Speaking of which, I pitched an idea where Mysterio would do 3 dates across the big NJPW shows; Scrull for Dominion (to get revenge on him for the mask stuff) Ospreay for the Cow Palace (to get people interested in that show with a big match) Liger for BOSJ (A promised dream match from before done at a time when Liger's not in the tournament and a good showcase outside of it)

Last triple threat held for a singles title was at WK7 for the IWGP Jr Title

There's also this to consider. I think if Omega loses at Dominion then the Cow Palace show will utterly, and I mean totally die at the gate. It would have to be something like a rematch to draw anyone at that point, with the idea of Omega going over. But yeah, go ahead and book Cody to run in during the 3rd and deciding fall on June 9 and see who shows up at the Cow Palace a month later.
The ideal thing here is the ending of WM 10. Omega wins in this epic match (which the main event of WM 10 wasn't) and the various BC guys come out to celebrate along with Ibushi, but the one guy who doesn't is Cody, who is standing there in the aisle looking on in disgust.
One thing I will say is that Omega needs some other sort of finisher, a submission, whatever. Because watching the guy repeatedly go for One Winged Angel over the course of 3 falls could produce a really tiresome match.
