It's that time of year where temperatures are getting warmer (at least in the Northern Hemisphere), and that means that the ticks are back. I've found three already, including two in one day.
Anyone else have to deal with this scourge yet this year?

My FFL rented a house by Lake Texoma for our draft a couple years ago. Thought the deck was awesome until the sun went down and it was quickly covered in these little motherf***ers. No lyme disease for me thnks.

Midwestern dude here that gets into the woods and grass a lot with my fishing and timber playtime. Ticks are definitely increasing both in numbers and in how early/late in the season when they appear.

Had one bite so far. But got rid of it quick. Thankfully lonestars are uncommon near me. I know a couple people with the dreaded red meat allergy. And for that the tick doesnt even have to be in there for any period of time.

If you see this animal, a Tick will normally be found in its vicinity.

No joke. If you find yourself in a wooded area/high grass, check yourself for ticks. About a year ago, someone I know was bitten by a tick, and didn’t realize it. He got really sick, was placed into a medically induced coma, and almost died. Thankfully, he pulled through. But he’s went through a lot of physical therapy and is just know learning to walk again.

This is an actual legit problem. Keep your pets cared for and treated too.
