Before I go into details, a friendly reminder to please not respond with "hall of fame means nothing its just who Vince wants to put it in" I understand the political side of it, but it's still a huge deal for the wrestlers and that's why it's a huge deal for me as well. I've always been a fan of Christian since his tag team days with Edge to his single days in 2005 and especially 2011. The one thing I've always noticed with Christian is how undervalued he was by Vince Mcmahon. A story has actually been told by a former WWE former writer that Vince Mcmahon once had the idea of putting a blue dot on Christian's face because he's so ugly. That really frustrates me considering how much sacrifices Christian put his body through to get the TLC matches over and also how he ended his career because of too many concussions. How do you repay him? Absolutely nothing, what a disgrace. Did Christian have the physical looks of a Roman Reigns? No. Did Christian have the career of a John Cena? No but that doesn't mean his career shouldn't be honored, especially when you put guys like Koko B Ware and Jeff Jarrett in the hall of fame! I always thought Christian was the more talented of the legendary tag team E&C, only Edge was better looking so he received the bigger push. The only time Vince ever gave Christian a main event long term feud was (when he had no other choice on a thin roster Smackdown) with Orton in the summer of 2011 and he gave Orton the best series of matches and feud of his career! Let's highlight all the reasons why I think Christian should be in the hall of fame.
E&C was one of the greatest tag teams of all time and helped revolutionize the TLC match: Part of being put in the hall of fame should be how you were an innovator and that's certainly what Christian was during his legendary TLC matches with Hardy Boys and Dudley Boys. WM17 is what I consider the greatest wrestling ppv of all time and Christian was a big reason for that. Not only did Christian help tear the house down with the rest of those tag teams at WM17, he was apart of a TLC match that would ultimately turn into its own PPV and also have countless matches even outside of its PPV. In terms of impact for the gimmick match expanding into a draw, it's similar impact to what HBK\Taker had for the HIAC match and it should be recognized as such even if he had five other guys in the ring with him.
Canadian Dollar storyline with Chris Jericho and Trish: This was one of the best storylines in WWE history. It all started out with Jericho\Christian arrogantly making a 1 dollar canadian bet on who can sleep with Trish first, than it turned into massive heat getting situation with Jericho\Christian having intergender matches with Trish\Lita and getting massive heat, ultimately leading towards Jericho siding with Trish only for Trish to turn on Jericho and join Christian in one of the greatest Wrestlemania matches ever at WM20 that stole the show besides the main event.
First wrestler to get John Cena boooed - In 2005 Christian was on fire with his new gimmick "captain charisma" and was so cool and charismatic at the time, he was the first guy to get booos for John Cena. That's right, the guy Vince had the idea of putting a blue dot on his face, stepped in the ring with John Cena when he got drafted to Raw and showed so much charisma and mic skills that he got the fans to turn on John Cena and that was before boooing John Cena was the consistent thing to do.
2011 feud with Randy Orton - Whether it's the arrogant heel as he portrayed in 2005 feuding with John Cena or the cowardly heel he portrayed while feuding with Randy Orton in 2011, Christian was always a stud. This was the first long term feud Vince let Christian just run with it because Smackdown was thin at the time. If you watch E&C podcast they had Orton on the show and Christian said that Vince actually wanted to feud to end before Summerslam, so once again Vince was cutting Christian short. The series of matches they had at Over The Limit, Money In The Bank, Summerslam were the greatest series of matches in WWE history in my opinion (not including HBK-Taker because that stretches out 20 years). The selling, the pace, the chemistry. Why was Orton all of a sudden so money in the ring after never having these type of caliber of matches before or after even with the likes of Daniel Bryan? Because Christian! Orton will even tell you himself:
Lets see what the 13 time champion and future hall of famer Randy Orton said about his 2011 feud with Christian and the legendary series of matches on the E&C podcast:
I hope one day, Christian can get the credit he deserves and be rightfully put in the hall of fame.

That's all Christian. One of my greatest runs, credit where credit is due you Canadian guys can put together some stuff. Making me work for it, making me better, all the little spots, 80-90% of all the spots in our matches were all Christian's ideas, I will always admit that. If it wasn't for Christian, I wouldn't be here, that run in 2011 helped me out with my confidence in the ring
I hope one day, Christian can get the credit he deserves and be rightfully put in the hall of fame.
