He may have been drunk with power post WWF draft, but why were the fans booing him? He wasn't really doing anything wrong. If by aligning with the nWo, it was the fans that drove him to turn to the nWo not the other way around.
Anyone else feel for Flair during this time?

Right. It was 'power' that Ric Flair was drunk on.

Austin’s foot was on the damn rope and Ric still counted 3 then instead of doing what was right he screwed Austin again and joined the nwo I’d expect that type of behavior from a lot of guys but not Ric Flair. If Ric just apologized I’m sure Steve would have forgiven him.Just a heartbreaking ordeal.

Amazing Flair still had a totally full head of hair in 2002 at 53. Usually guys who kept it that long keep it forever but 2003 was when it started to thin and fall out

I don’t know what he was doing but I’ve seen pictures of him in 2004 or so and his eyebrows just disappeared at some point and never grew back till recently.

What exactly cause his eyebrows to fall out?

Flair blatantly ignored Austin's foot on the ropes and gave Undertaker the win....sounds like a pretty heel move to me.

Right. It was 'power' that Ric Flair was drunk on. Man loves his sea breezes, and his rum and cokes.

The true heel in that match was the agent who told Taker and Austin to go out there for almost a half an hour. I like both guys a lot but that was honestly the most boring match I had seen in my entire life.

That is why WWE was always bizarroland to me, esp. how the fans reacted. I could never boo the Nature Boy post 1990.

Austin was just done by 2002. Personally I thought the whole Flair feud did him no favors anyway. It's one thing to have constant problems with Vince or be fired by a scumbag like Bischoff. But Flair? Flair's demands were so much more reasonable and Flair so much more beloved that Austin railing against Flair just made him seem like a dick.
