Whether face or heel, one last great feud he could have is with Samoa Joe. Have them both be in their ruthless violent personas, give several weeks of intense promos and brutal beat-downs on both sides, and you have potentially a Mania-quality feud.

Randy peaked in 2011. It's been a downhill ride since.

He goes through the motions, and he's right to do it The way this company is booked, nothing matters enough to give anything more. That's no excuse. You'd think being a 3rd generation guy he'd have more respect for the business and to the fans that pay for a ticket to not half ass his matches and just go through the motions. Orton's last better than average match was against Luke Harper at FastLane 15 months ago. I realize he was working with Jinder for a good part of last year, but Orton should have took it as a challenge to try and drag a good match out of Mahal's roided up ass. Just because you think your boss or the higher ups are doing a poor job doesn't mean you should phone it in, have a little more pride.

Diminished passion after 20 or so years is something that is a natural course of things for some people.
Especially when he's been to the very top multiple times, accumulated injury, approaching 40, and most importantly, has a family. However, the paycheck is nice to support said family.
Even uber competitive people like Arnold Schwarzenegger lost the passion for competing after 12 years of doing the same thing and winning the glory.
