Something I thought of lately and was curious on if there would be a yay or nay on this idea.
Dean could use something fresh to do when he comes back. First off, he doesn't really need to stay on Raw since its roster is fine as it is. Secondly, the shield reunion isn't needed since both Roman and Seth are in their own angles right now (and the reunion was a massive disaster). Thirdly, having Sanity come into Smackdown as a heel stable, eventually revealing their leader is a newly heel, more unhinged Dean Ambrose wouldn't be the worst fit for him. Honestly, for as good a role as Young has had as a leader, I think Dean could serve as a much stronger mouthpiece for the crew.

I did this a few months ago in 2K18 and thought it worked perfectly.

Someone else suggested this and yeah it would work but the problem is that whenever a main roster guy has lackeys these days he's suddenly weak. Ambrose has been built up as a main roster level threat so this might hurt him if they don't book it right. As long as he's still strong on his own and he doesn't need his guys (except when he's facing guys like Reigns, Lesnar, Braun, potentially Rollins and such) then this is perfect.

If anyone takes over leadership of Sanity, it's gotta be Matt Hardy.

Only if Sammy The Squirrel will agree to a massive remodel of the dumpster to accommodate Deans new roommates....

I read this as "leader of Snitsky".

I want him to answer Seth's open challenge, have a nice friendly match until Dean gets fed up with being out wrestled and smacks Seth in the head with a chain.
If we fit Sanity into that (maybe EY brings him the chain), I'm for it.

If wwe would treat them like a serious threat it would be cool but factions a lot of time if Triple H aren’t in them or their the shield end up hurting everyone involved because the leader that was once a threat now hangs around with a bunch of losers I don’t think we’ll ever get back to the glory days of The Corre & The New Nexus.

I feel like Sanity is fine the way it is but I would not have a problem with Ambrose leading the way. Maybe they can do "the higher power" thing and have the leader be Ambrose, turning him heel.

Anybody but EY. I've never been able to take him seriously as a leader way back when he went SRS in TNA

As long as Nikki Cross is with them, I’m down with this. Nikki and Abrose would have the most hilarious interactions.

On the one hand, I think there's money to be made with a heel run for Ambrose if handled correctly like a lot of people have thought since the man signed on with the company.
On the other hand, Ambrose has been the most consistently sympathetic of the SHIELD members and essentially became what they so desperately wanted Roman to be. The man even made some of the cringey "whacky" material they gave him somewhat tolerable to sit through in ways a lot of other guys put in those positions have failed to. If the machine genuinely got behind him, I could see big things for him as a top face for them.
In a perfect world, they'd slow burn the hell out of it. I'd have Dean answer Seth's open challenge, lose in a friendly contest and the two shake hands and go on with their careers. Seth continuing his IC reign for the time and Dean gradually being built back up into the title picture, in time he'd win the Universal or WWE title and he'd be a fighting champion for months. Seth would finally drop the IC title in either November or December and after another iron man performance he'd win the Royal Rumble, setting up Seth vs. Dean for the title at Wrestlemania. During the build-up I'd have Seth and the announcers make references to their IC title match and how Seth won it once or twice and Dean emphasizing how much he needs to beat Seth. Wrestlemania rolls in, Seth and Dean initially look to be on even footing but as the match progresses Seth keeps edging ahead of Dean and taking control of the match, and right when he's on the cusp of victory that's when I'd pull the trigger and have Dean turn heel to retain the championship. Ideally either have the ref down and Dean crack a steel chair across Seth's back or if Sanity were to join up with him, have a Sanity member do it for Dean. With the closing moments of the match being Seth and Dean staring at each other & there's an understanding at long last of how Dean felt years ago before Dean hits the finish and retains. Setting up the big story going into Summerslam of Seth trying to earn another shot at Dean.

I like Eric Young as the leader of Sanity.
I'd love some sort of super-freak feud, though, where Sanity go against the Woken Family and Dean. Freaks vs. Freaks. Get them in a No DQ match of some sort and watch the venue get demolished.

I feel like if Dean was pitched this he'd respond with a hard f***ing pass.
