I really hate that people want to waste whatever shelf-life Bryan has left on the f***ing Miz, of all people. Please, please, please give me Bryan vs. AJ or Bryan vs. Nak. Bryan vs. Pete Dunne. plz.

Miz has a lot of fans on here, myself included. I also want to see Bryan against AJ and Nak, but if Bryan has so short of a shelf-life in the ring that he doesn't have time to have feuds with Cass, Miz, AJ and Nakamura, then he shouldn't be wrestling every week.

Let's see the dream matches, not the "matches nobody really wanted to see 5 years ago".

There's a reason why many people don't want this. It's not all about it being different from the past, it's about what makes sense. They've changed the direction of the program. I don't think we know what the direction of the program will be. Miz is kind of being a TV host and Bryan still has Cass. This honestly sounds to me like Bryan putting over his buddies (Rollins, Styles, Miz) and understanding that the feud wouldn't mean as much if he's diminished everything Miz has become. And Miz saying he's better than Bryan is what he's always said. So I wouldn't rush to say that this is what the feud will end up looking like.

Miz has a much stronger following and more respect than he used to have. He got face pops for ripping Bryan's shtick off.

If there's money in Bryan/Miz (and I think there is), then Miz needs to have some mojo and some shine going into this feud. When they have Bryan start to talk about it on WWE TV, he should still sort of put Miz over, but point out that the reason that Miz has become as good as he's become is because he started picking up on Bryan's stuff and incorporating it into his own routine. Have Bryan say that Miz may have learned a lot from Bryan, but Bryan's got some more lessons to teach, and Miz is going to learn them the hard way.

Miz/Bryan is a feud that's been percolating for nearly a decade now, building piece by piece including some of the best moments of both men's WWE careers. It's been the dream match for many of us since Bryan said he was returning.

It's the 2nd most important thing to come out of the show besides the Nexus. And depending on how this feud goes, it could become the singular most important.

Like I said in the post you just responded to, if this program turns into a "damn, Bryan's not up to Miz's level so now he has to rise and to compete with him" that'll be changing the narrative that's been built since the Talking Smack promo. If it's not about that, if it's stays on the same path as it's been built up to be? It's a different story but there's a reason why people don't want the type of feud that I've just mentioned. There's a difference between raising others up and changing the narrative of the story.
There's 2 different potential storylines here. Only 1 of them has been built up for a while. Changing that narrative is not good writing.

I just want, at the end of it, for there to be a mutual respect between them and possibly even them becoming friends.

So people aren't happy that uberface Daniel Bryan built up a possible opponent as best as he could?
Isn't that promo class 101? Cuz if he had run down Miz like people are saying, then A: he beats Miz easily which doesn't do anything for Bryan, and kinda buries Mix, or B: he loses to a guy he says isn't on his level, which makes Bryan look like a schmuck.

I just want, at the end of it, for there to be a mutual respect between them and possibly even them becoming friends. I don't necessarily want them being super buddy-buddy. But I'd mark so damn hard for them as Tag Team Champions built on a (possibly unsteady) mutual respect. Respect enough that they pick up another signature move. Miz picks up the Cattle Mutilation, and Bryan picks up and hanging corner clothesline and the Mizard of Oz. But, what I really want most, is for Miz to break out Johnny Mundo's big moves in this feud. I doubt his ability to hit El Fin del Mundo (El Fin del Mizdo), but he could definitely pull off a Mizlight (Moonlight) Drive.

They HAVE to do Miz/Bryan at some point. It's one of the only long-term stories they've actually done really well. To not do it would be spitting in the face of years of work by both guys.

Bryan vs. Miz is big money if they can hold it off until say, SummerSlam. Miz isn't his equal as far as technical stuff, but I've always felt they meshed together well and had entertaining matches.
Bryan vs. Nak, AJ or Joe are feuds I'd be more interested in for the buildup to Mania and Bryan's quest for another world title.

I don't want them to respect each other on-screen. I want it to be like Tito/Martel where they always hate each other character wise. To where if they encounter each other in a Rumble they throw hands even if they haven't interacted in years.

In this scenario, is Miz a werewolf?

In this scenario, is Miz a werewolf? No, he's just ripping on Freddie Blassie.
