To this day I really wish I knew what motivated them to hire him, of all people, as their spokesman. Yes, he was a minor celebrity thanks to his time in WWE. But HIM as the guy to try to sell a line of kitchen appliances? And yet somehow he made it work-in a psychotic, buy this pressure cooker or I’ll stuff you into it kind of way.

Remember that rumor about him working as a landlord in Britain.

I honestly think he did really well with em. I found myself saying: "Ya know, a country boil would taste good right about now."

Gene has a great personality for sales. He regularly posts on his facebook about his workouts using this brand called Vitargo which has great results for him. I think he's actually a rep for them. Funny thing is, at indy shows and autograph signings he's pretty quiet. When most guys who've had one try out match for WWF portray themselves as a WWE superstar to the indy fans, Gene is pretty quiet but very friendly and doesn't put himself over any of the other talent.
