How GOD awful was this concept and who is glad WWE doesn't do them anymore?
An occasional brand vs. brand Survivor Series is enough, there was no need to extend that concept to a secondary PPV.
What was worse when Bragging Rights took place during the time WWE was running Raw/SD Supershows. Everyone was working the same show anyway, but then the brand war PPV is coming so we have to remind everyone who is officially on each part. It was weird because until they put blue and raw shirts on the roster, it was hard to tell apart who was Raw and who was Smackdown.

Like, yes, it was stupid for all the reasons you listed, but yeah, it was an elimination tag main-event thing but Survivor Series was the next scheduled PPV boths times they ran Bragging Rights. It was like a 101 in trying to undermine both PPV's unique selling points.

They should have combined Bragging Rights and Survivor Series to create a BRAND NEW REVOLUTIONARY CONCEPT.
Called Survivor Series.

It's bad enough when Survivors Series has a brand vs brand match. The idea of the brands competing and even half the people involved caring beyond wanting to win a match is insulting.

I don’t think it was a terrible concept I just think the execution was poor it would have worked better if the brands were treated as somewhat equals and if it was treated as something the actually mattered instead it came across like we’ll give SD a win over Raw and award them Lord Vince’s Cup to make it seems like Raw wasn’t Vince’s favorite but past that night it didn’t mean anything past something to display in Teddy Long’s office.I’d have done something to make it seem important and have some consequences like the winning brand gets more superstars in the rumble, more picks in the next draft or gets the main event slot at wrestlemania.

I remember there was talk about doing away with Survivor Series because of this. Glad that didn't happen.
It was also a 7-on-7 match, which is way too many people for one match. Five should be the maximum for team matches.
I'm not opposed to the brand vs. brand concept (think of it as the All-Star Game or the Pro Bowl), but like anything else in WWE, lackluster build and feelings of sameness ultimately doom it.

I like how the name of the show wants to assure the viewer that there's nothing important whatsoever at stake.
