As a kid who always thought that the heels were cool & babyfaces boring I found the I.R.S character in the WWF a good heel as he was so obnoxious he really did get under the fans skin. Characters like him are a lost art nowadays but I always respected his ability to really get the audience to hate him.
Any other forum members a liker of Irwin R Schyster? What memories do you have?
When he went to WCW the only bit I saw of him was when he was about to debut as Micheal Wallstreet with a few vingnettes building up his arrival were shown but other than that nothing. Obviously he was never gonna get anywhere near the main event scene but can any of you fill me in on what his stint in WCW was like? Any decent matches or angles he was involved in?

I liked the gimmick and applaud him for making it work.
I've only really watch WCW from 1996 to 1997 and 2001 so its hard to say much about his run besides him not being a good fit. He was very dull and replacable in WCW unfortunately.

I was a fan of IRS/Money Inc. as a kid. I always enjoyed them beating up on Tito and Virgil on the Coliseum Video videos.
As it pertains to his run in WWF, I don't really think anything stands out in a singles role. Without DiBiase he was just there and mostly boring.

To me IRS became boring as soon as Money Inc was over. He and Dibiase really complimented each other and they worked well as a top heel team. As soon as that was over I never took him serious for his remaining 2 years. His subsequent feuds were dull (Razor Ramon, Tatanka, Undertaker)

Big fan, loved Money Inc, and thought his IC title match v Razor was actually a good match and vastly overlooked

Ability aside, I thought he was dull; the tax cheat preamble before each match got old quick, and he was only bearable in Money Inc due to him riding on DiBiase's charisma.

I always wondered why Alexandra York’s computer winning strategies were so long when they could have just been summed up with “distract the ref, hit opponent with the laptop”
I always found him alright, not terribly exciting but I didn’t mind him around doing things either.

Wow, people found IRS boring...... When he was there I was that age where I could easily find people boring, and he......wasn't boring to me. Very odd. But then I'm often out of sync with wrestling memories these days so meh. Curious why he left when he did, and why his role with DiBiase's Corporation was so diminished considering he was really the original of the group (though I guess this 2nd part answers the 1st part?)

Late 80s Mike Rotundo teaming with Dr. Death Steve Williams and Rick Steiner and/or Kevin Sullivan in the Varsity Club made for some good six-man matches.

He was one of the worst nWo members. He lasted only a short time with them, thankfully. Ray Traylor was also awful, but went back to the WWF and was cool again. Weird.
I wonder if IRS had come back with a new look if he would have a chance. Everybody always hates the IRS.

He was okay, liked him better in the Varsity Club with Sullivan/Williams and Money Inc. I remember when he first debuted the IRS gimmick he would wear tights with the t-shirt and tie, which looked weird as hell.

I have no clue who thought that would last. They should have debuted him as a corrupt cop convict instead with brutal behavior like original SBBM.

Rope Assisted Abdominal Stretch! There's a heel move that needs to make a comeback.

It was definitely a lame gimmick-but Mike Rotunda somehow made it work. I remember reading somewhere that he was trying to imitate Michael Milkin, because the gimmick was in no small part inspired by all the headlines about him. The tag team with DiBiase as Money Inc was just gold. I’m amazed they didn’t have Repo Man as a third member.

I've loved watching some IRS matches from 94 recently. I get the character is not everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was great.
As far as the Wallstreet gimmick, I've only seen his Starrcade 90 match against Terry Taylor. A solid match but, aside from Alxendra York being at ringside, you'd think Rotundo was just working without a gimmick at all.

The IRS gimmick doesn't stick out that much in the early 90s. There was a lot of horrible s**t that made it through that era.
