I 100% approve of. Elias is money. Elias is killing his role. Elias is doing the damn thing.
Bobby Roode though...the f*** they gonna do with him?

Bobby Roode is literally a theme song. Outside of that he’s always been a bit of a generic mid-2000s OVWesque wrestler to me. I don’t get him at all.

I'm okay with Roode losing every match he's in for the rest of his WWE career.

Hogan was right about Roode in 2011. He’s bland as all hell. He was at his best as a poor man’s heel HHH in 2012 but that heel role is played out enough.
From the little I’ve seen of Elias he knows how to work a crowd and looks natural when he’s out there. He should be going over Roode.

I stopped watching TNA back in 2011, so I never got to see Bobby Roode during his 'glory days',but I definitely haven't seen anything to suggest he'd ever been a top guy in any company since coming to WWE.

Seems like Roode is the new jobber to the heels which is right where he should be.

Dude's 41 and working his dream job as a dude who's held the US title and NXT championship and has merch and fans galore globally. He's been with WWE two years and has been a bigger star now than ever in his 12 years with TNA. He'll be making money supporting his family for as long as he's alive, thanks largely to his Glorious gimmick.
So yeah, I'm sure he's MORE than happy putting over a solid talent like Elias.

Yeah, bland is the perfect word to describe Roode. He’s not a bad wrestler by any stretch. But there’s nothing about him that I find compelling. And when you put him with a guy that has the crowd in the palm of his hand, it stands out even more.

Bobby Roode as a face has a gimmick that is strictly based off a word, Glorious.
Thats like Kona Reeves overrusing the word "Finest". And Kona Reeves sucks.
Maybe they should both form a tag team called The Superlatives. Or better yet, Bobby Roode should turn heel. Youre witnessing his last days as a face on Raw before a heel turn saves him

Well there you go, all those IWC stories how WCW/TNA/WhateverWrestling didn't know what to do with HIM but WWE did are just that, IWC Stories. WWE is the first one that failed with Roode as Main Eventer but to be fair there is still time. WWE has also failed with Joe but that's different debate all together.

He's a guy I can see going into the rotating cycle of legends in 10 years, just randomly popping up to go "Glorious" then leave, like a Jim Duggan or Ron Simmons.

Simple solution - turn him heel and let him be the It Factor.

And when you put him with a guy that has the crowd in the palm of his hand, it stands out even more. Roode, to me, is a utility player. He's a perfectly competent wrestler, and has a credible enough presence, nothing wrong with that, but just... can't expect a ton more out of him than that.

Now, I haven't watched much of Roode's TNA run, but he was a tag teamer right? And a good one too right? Why not just put him in a tag team and cover his weaknesses that way.

He tagged, yeah, though I think it was about 50/50 for him. He would probably be a good person to put with a "hot tag" kind of guy, since he has fundamentals down, but isn't too thrilling, himself. That, and half the fun of tag teams is coming up with names. Pair him with Cassidy, resulting in Glorious Ass.

They signed the wrong guy. We wanted Beer, not Money! WWE did sign James Storm. He decided TNA was the better choice and went back.
