I'm convinced Roode is winning MITB. He just seems kind of there and really could do with the win.

I always feel like I’m on crazy pills when people talk about Elias. I just don’t get it.

I always feel like I’m on crazy pills when people talk about Elias. I just don’t get it. Not everyone is going to click with every fan. I never saw anything in Shelton or Christian when people were clamouring for them to be world champions for example. Elias is a funny one because he's not done anything outstanding yet but he just has that X factor thing I can't define.

Now, I haven't watched much of Roode's TNA run, but he was a tag teamer right? And a good one too right? Why not just put him in a tag team and cover his weaknesses that way. He was in 3 tag teams in TNA - Team Canada (with Eric Young), Beer Money (with Cowboy James Storm) and The Dirty Heels (with Austin Aries. Team Canada and The Dirty Heels were good, but Beer Money.......that tag team was so good. They were a tag team that was thrown together off the back of both the guys floundering off the back of two heel runs (Bobby Roode came off the back of a truly diabolical feud with Eric Young) and it just clicked for both of them. They meshed so well together. They started off as heels, but eventually people just started cheering them more and more till TNA turned them face in 2009. They had some great matches with LAX and Team 3D, but probably the high water mark of the team was the best of 5 series with The Motor City Machine Guns. The final match in that series was outstanding, so TNA in their infinite wisdom decided to have it on Free TV along with a bunch of other matches, and had broken down former ECW guys put on Hardcore Justice, which is best known for Tommy Dreamer blading in front of his two young daughters.
Eventually TNA ran out of half decent teams to take on Storm and Roo, and they dropped the titles to Mexican America.
If WWE had a half decent tag division, then I would be down for a Beer Money reunion, but considering that the titles are an afterthought on Raw and two former Wyatt Family Job Guys wearing Kane's old gear are squashing everything on Smackdown, then Roode turning heel (hopefully by smashing a beer bottle off someones head) and becoming the no good stinkin' bastard that he played to perfection in late 2011 and in 2012 is far more appealing.

He tagged, yeah, though I think it was about 50/50 for him. He would probably be a good person to put with a "hot tag" kind of guy, since he has fundamentals down, but isn't too thrilling, himself. That, and half the fun of tag teams is coming up with names. Pair him with Cassidy, resulting in Glorious Ass. Um. Gloriass.

Roode’s a heel through and through. His demeanor, look & wrestling style scream bad guy, but they got his entrance theme so over they think it makes him a babyface. He’s trapped in the start/stop momentum thing because the fans don’t really know how to react to him.
That said, Elias is in the same boat. He’s over when he goes out these, but he doesn’t get any sustained push. He just does the shtick & ends up getting beaten up by the babyfaces.

Roode definitely has a face theme, but I never really got why people said his in ring style was better suited for a face. Everything besides his theme song screams heel to me.

Simple solution - turn him heel and let him be the It Factor. Exactly! Roode is a heel, plain and simple.
