Props to WWE for doing numbers like this and still having networks beg them to take all of their money. No shade, their sales pitch must be super impressive or this "live tv" craze is a way bigger deal than what I thought it was.

It’s really mind-blowing to me that WWE could get such a disappointing amount of money for their cable deal five years ago, and yet get an astronomically higher sum five years later when they get ratings like this.
What other factors am I not considering? Twitter? Youtube? Hulu?

I'm now under the operating theory that it's more that "Network TV is in a death spiral content-wise and the only thing it can think of to do is to throw money at old properties in the hopes that it sticks." Seriously, there may be a Fox exec who thinks that the Attitude Era is still going strong.

I'll be honest. I don't get this TV deal. I don't get what USA and Fox see in WWE right now. Did these people do zero due diligence and not notice that WWE's ratings have been on a horrid downward trend for the past 3 years? As in larger than typical TV downward trends? Seriously, if they do something on Fox like that idiotic "Lashley's Sisters" segment last night why wouldn't Fox just toss them off the network or bury the show on the FS1 station until the contract is up?

Stephanie's obsession with social media stat's and branding means even though viewers roll their eyes when they pop up on screen she was able to hoodwink some Exec's with their facebook, twitter likes, youtube views etc. Hat's off to her as WWE is making out like bandits in this deal cause she has that snake oil pitch ability her dad had back in his day.

Curious if the viewers changed the channel during the Steph/Nia/Ronda segment which was in the beginning of Hour 3.
