That might have been my favorite part of a solid Smackdown actually. I love how the crowd just took to it and WWE deserve some kind of credit for seeming to realize that adding Lana to Rusev Day would be better than doing a break up angle.

That was a great crowd and would chant anything heck they chanted “Miz & Mrs.”I’d try Rusev day as faces for a bit just to establish it and if and when Rusev turns it means more.They seemed terrified on actually doing the Lana vs Billie match seeing it went 1 minute and 55 seconds of that was The IIconics arguing with Aiden at ringside.

Aiden was the star of that. What's with Lana's dancing? That was enjoyable and I'm glad Rusev Day is a trio officially now. They were definitely the faces against the Iconics so maybe Rusev Day is going face? If not they should.

Im REALLY happy they seemed to instantly move away from "Turn Rusev back heel and have Lana be the one to turn him against Aiden", these three are a Trio you actually WANT to see succeed

And Im PRETTY SURE this week was their first official face week, they didnt insult the town, The IIconics cut the heel promo on them, and shit the crowd was behind them as always

That was the dancing she was doing on the NXT houseshows before she re-debuted on the main roster that made people question how she lasted so long as a professional dancer.

This is immediately where my mind went. The WWE has no new ideas, and if it's not Lana insidiously turning Rusev against his friend, it's going to be Aiden showing too much affection for Lana.

Meanwhile, the best thing they could do is just have them be a babyface trio that the fans love to cheer, but that's just way too crazy an idea.

According to online reports they're planning on having Rusev and Lana turning on Aiden and going back to being a heel duo. I hope it's not true as the three of them as a babyface trio seems to be the more natural direction going by crowd reactions but it's not like they exactly care about that anymore.

I remember seeing a video of that and wondering what the hell they were thinking.  But then they made the same mistake on Smackdown.  Maybe they figured if they can't have her break up Rusev Day they can punish us with her dancing?

I mean, it's possible, but I am not sure if I buy it or not right now, given we were hearing reports of this since before the match with Daniel Bryan, and, I mean, having him beat Daniel Bryan (largely) clean and still be getting a big face response throughout the match, I could see them being more hesitant to keep him nominally heel than they would have otherwise been.

I think some of it is going to come down to if AJ retains or not. If Shinsuke wins the title, I could see there being more incentive to have him be a straight-up face, because that'd be a challenger right there, along with AJ and Bryan.

AJ winning is a lock with Nakamura beating him last week. Either way I don't really see them pushing Rusev as a World Title contender as even with the win over Bryan he lacks the credibility due to being booked like such a doofus since his feud with Reigns which was all the way back in fall of 2016. If the reports are true I see them having him feud with and beat Hardy for the IC title as that seems to go with the recurring trend with his career where he goes through a long drought and then gets a midcard title win and us pushed as a threat again solely for the fact to fatten up before they feed him to Cena or Reigns and then he goes back to doing nothing. Personally I think the best move would be for him and Aiden to be a babyface tag team managed by Lana feuding with the Bludegon Brothers and winning the tag titles.
