I seem to remember the other week in a brief segment on Raw the Ascension had a 2 or 3 minute segment which got me thinking that maybe we might see the team being pushed a little.
The team haven't really had much of anything since they arrived on the main Roster and I genuinely thought they would be a good monster type duo either as heel or babyface but the booking for them has been pretty shit to say the least.
Do you guys and girls of the forum think that the team are due to be pushed as a more serious contender to the tag team championships or is it just a matter of time before Konnor & Viktor receive their letter wishing them the best in their future endeavours?
Personally I hope they are given a chance to turn their characters around and be seen as a more serious threat to the tag team division as at the moment there isn't many proper teams. Bray Wyatt & Matt Hardy are not firing on all cylinders, Breezango still look like they are going to be used as a comedy act, The Revival are not looking anything like the team they were on NXT, Same as Authors of Pain & Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn need to be allowed to go their separate ways for a while so the time is perfect for The Ascension to get the time to develop themselves and make people believe they arnt just a bunch of Jobbers.
Anyway let's see what you reckon...

Bringing them in like they did really hurt them and WWE haven't spent much time other than the segments with Breezango to put them right again. They have the look, gimmick and ability to do well but its down to the booking Team to put them in something that gives fans the impression they aren't comedy acts

For some reason, every tag team that gets called up from NXT immediately gets jobbed into irrelevance. Ascension. Hype Bros. Revival. Vaudevillains. The only team for the past several years that escaped this was American Alpha, who went on to have the most uninspired title reign since Hawkins & Ryder before being promptly broken up. It's the reason they have to keep making super teams out of two established singles guys, like Cesaro & Sheamus, Hardy & Wyatt, or Braun & Nicholas.
People complain that WWE can't create new stars, which is debatable, but there's no doubt they can't create new star tag teams.

I dont even know what show they are on They are on Main Event. The Ascension have been booked into oblivion, and nothing is going to save these two. They have been bottom of the WWE food chain for so long that nobody is going to take them seriously. Other factors that work against them is that neither of them are all that good in the ring, Konnor has two WWE Wellness Strikes against him, both of them are pushing 40 and War Machine are in NXT and will probably be called up soon. Should WWE use their tag teams better? Sure. Should The Ascension be used more seriously, over the likes of American Alpha, Authors of Pain, The Revival, Ziggler and McIntyre and The Fashion Police? No.

The poll and thread title are asking two different questions. Would I LIKE them to be pushed? Yes. Are they GOING to be pushed? f***ing doubt it.

If they wanted to book them seriously they could do so fairly easily I think. They'd need a bit of an overhaul in terms of look maybe, and getting with a new manager who has kayfabe got them to up their game.
The way they were brought in was one of the most baffling things I've seen.

They need to lose the LOD ripoff gimmick, and fast.

NXT's average wrestler size was much smaller with The Ascension there. You could buy them as dominant.
On the main roster, one of them is moderately sized, the other is actually probably kinda below average as far as weight and build, but bigger than a cruiserweight. Booking them as being a dominant team when other tag teams include guys of the size of The Bar, or Braun, or even The Revival just wouldn't work.
