That's good news! Who is Joe Hendry? Pretty good British indy wrestler who has sung his own theme songs to his match which at times has dissed his opponents. He recently turned heel and had a good run as the leader of The Prestige.

Well hope he produces better themes for everybody and he won't be paid for the extra work.

I can't wait for TNA to not get the point or appeal of Joe Hendry at all. Which is a problem because he's one of those "the gimmick is magic until the bell rings" kind of dudes.

Thing is, he’s decent in the ring. It’s not like Grado, where wrestling him is like carrying a sack of potatoes. I’m beyond hyped for this. Joe Hendry really seems like he has the charisma to be a big deal somewhere, and at least getting on Impact will get his foot in the door outside of the UK.

Oh yeah he doesn't stink the joint up, but his matches never really do much for me. It's all about the character work, and the worry is that he's going to be TNA'd real hard in the process. Get given some kind of hardcore shoot fight gimmick or something, because TNA. I mean even "good" Grado is just obnoxious to me but I can concede TNA Grado is an unfair monstrosity that is below the man.

Well the announcement video there at least says he’s coming with his custom entrances, and that’s the most notable part of the gimmick. On the other hand, who knows what we’ll get in the long run, but TNA’s biggest strength over the years has probably been comedy.

I do think his character work would obviously translate better on TV than a tourney to showcase his skills so maybe this could be one door to the other ala Mike Bennett
Either way, as long as he don't stink up the joint in TNA though this is just a stop for him to add on his resume

Clearly we need an Adrenaline Rush entrance for him Also Joseph Conners is in WWE and I made the reference to him there... so I think I need to apologize to Joe for being on TNA's radar <_< www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHMo8PkTCxMedit: Also he should still call himself the Local Hero... even though he is clearly not Local

Joe Hendry in NXT where he could do his character work in front of a crowd ready to love a gimmick would be magic. Joe Hendry in the UK tournament would be a guy the local crowd would love to the utter confusion of a whole lot of home viewers being introduced to him. If there is any WWE interest at all in the man, letting him keep going until they're ready to bring him in properly is a good call.

Joe Hendry will make it better.
He did represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games for wrestling as well.
