So let's discuss some pet peeves that you don't like from stories you have read
Thinking back on Naruto and Bleach both of them built up a long time antagonist only to bait and switch it for an even bigger badder person who wasn't established into the story until recently. I like seeing the antagonist who was built up be defeated since the story was built up for them to rise and fall
What are your pet peeves?

Not from any particular series, just more in general:
1.a. Characters pulling brand new powers out of their asses because the author wrote himself into a corner by making a villain too powerful to realistically be taken down by anyone.
1.b. Teenage prodigies who can take down much older opponents with decades more knowledge and experience because of friendship/love/determination/prophecy/deus ex machina.
2. Violent Love Interests.
3. Completely unremarkable loser gets half a dozen women to fall in love with him even though his only defining character trait is that he's Nice and/or doesn't give up no matter how much he fails.
4. Perverted Old Men.
5. Heroes who refuse to kill the villain who's already killed hundreds or even thousands of people because "It would make me no better than him".
Just to name a few.

in Western comics I'm really sick of the teenage/child super geniuses that are way smarter than all the adults... it's been done to death in recent years.
Also the usual EARTH CHANGING EVENT THAT NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME FROM! which either means like a bunch of random characters die or people begin acting WAY out of character for a few months to a year.

Biggest issue (ha!) with comics is how death doesn't mean shit. There's almost never any emotional weight behind a characters death because either a) they were never around long enough to leave any sort of impression, b) we all expect them back in about a year or so, or c) their addition was obviously there just for them to die for cheap and unearned emotional weight.

that doesn't bother me because well... death has never been an issue in comics.
They were rezzing people like it was going out of style since the Golden ages... I mean the Joker died in his first appearance... and in all subsequent appearances in the Golden Age.

Thing is people still do fall for these type fo tricks. Like when they killed Cap after Civil War or Batman... or when they make major changes to status quo like SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN! like it's going to stick forever.

The "untrusting public hates the hero despite being saved by said hero so many times" trope.

I'm admittedly talking in very broad strokes. But these things also seem to have a cultural shelf life of maybe a month, if that. It may not have been popular, but Nazi Steve Rogers at least got more traction than his death years earlier. I'll give it to Marvel for being that bold.

The Quirky Underdog Protagonist that has to work hard to compete suddenly becomes The Chosen One and super naturally the best.

In Manga, yes. I hate when you have a big conflict like a war arc or something big and you don't even have supporting characters bite the dust much less a semi main or something like that

5. Heroes who refuse to kill the villain who's already killed hundreds or even thousands of people because "It would make me no better than him". To add to that, sparing the villain and then them becoming an ally after showcasing no redeeming qualities

Characters who are supposed to be talking who have their mouth closed (including gritted teeth). Some comics do it almost constantly, especially superhero comics, and it drives me crazy. It gets especially bad if there are multiple characters in the same panel. It's like... why are you intentional making your scene less emotional by locking half of your character's face in place? Comics are already a static medium, so if you want to make it expressive and give the impression of fluidity, you have to make the characters who are supposed to be active look like they're in the middle of a movement. It completely ruins any attempt at a dramatic effect whenever a comic has a character drop a wham line with their mouth closed because I can't help but imagine it as them mumbling it.
Two things when it comes to costumes: absurdly skintight suits that let you see every single muscle detail and in some cases veins, and masks that only cover the area directly around the eyes. I dislike both for the same reason: if you're going to go with something that doesn't conceal your features or provide any protection at all, why even bother? Costumes like that are for fetish clubs and nothing else. When it comes to masks, if it barely covers more than some eyeliner, just drop it entirely and have your character's way of hiding their identity be "Ha ha, no! I'm not Clark Kent, but don't worry, good citizen, I get that a lot!". As for the suits, how do you even breathe in something that sticks to your goddamn veins?! The worst part is that when they're this tight, they can't be aerodynamic or offer any freedom of movement either, which you'd think would be the main purpose of form-fitting outfits.

Well in fairness Bleach did change a bit once Aizen went evil so Ichigo had a goal to go after However, my guy was stronger than captains who have been in their position 1000 years But yeah overall those are the underdogs who overcome odds but thankful they were well written

I think they were well written enough before both fell off a cliff. Their antagonist obviously play a big role in helping them and they were at their best when they went against someone who they couldn’t do the plucky come from behind I’m better than you shit. Ulqiuorrara and Pain fit that bill

1.How most American comics are decompressed and a story that should take 2 issues tops is now a 6 issue story. All cause too many people wait for the trade to read stuff.
2. How bland and look a like most art in American comics have become. Most of the modern hot artist have almost no storytelling skills. Sure they can draw a great cover. But comics is about more than covers.
3.People who gripe and bitch all the time about how comics suck. But instead of say trying out something that isn't from Marvel or DC,they keep buying the same titles each month. The titles they bitch about all the time.
4.I really have come to hate the paper that most DC and Marvel comics are printed on now. Go back to newsprint. It looks better and you don't have to worry about light reflecting off the paper.

I also can't stand how easily forgiven a lot of anime villains are. The fact that Sasuke didn't end up lynched at the end of Naruto only served to underscore how poorly the writer understood his actions.
I also hate the way a lot of superhero writers have the maturity of toddlers and go out of their way to try ruining every established couple because they're a bunch of man children and girls are icky or whatever. Not just Spider-Man either. Happened to Superman, it's almost an annoying cliche with Green Arrow and Black Canary at this point. Goes double for Hank Pym and Wasp.

Yea, Sasuke should have been hanged, brought back to life and murdered again. No way you attack the hokage summit and live to tell about it. That goes into what people said earlier and what I said as well about anime villains being forgiven because the hero doesn’t want to be like them or some bull shit. NARUTO is a bad offender of giving every villain a tragic backstory. They even did it with Madara who should have been he ultimate bad guy since he was built up as the series villain since they did the time skip
