When it comes to going to a movie, it's an unwritten rule that seeing the previews are an integral aspect to the entire theater experience. It's especially exciting when a movie you never expected, or heard rumors of but could never confirm, pop up for a 60-second preview. And depending on what the movie is, you may find yourself cheering or jumping out of your seat.
Unfortunately, the Internet has practically ruined the element of surprise, just like in the case of wrestling. You may see a preview today and say "that's the same one I saw online." And if that's not the case, it's likely you'll hear it from your friends or family that this movie or that movie is coming out.
So your mission for today, if you choose to accept it, is to let us all know what films you would like to have seen, or did see, trailers for on their first day without having any knowledge of, and how you reacted to it.
For example, had Fox not shown the teaser for the Simpsons movie for free during a regular episode, I have no doubt people in the audience would have been cheering the moment the Superman logo panned out for us to see Homer. Another example I heard of and would very much have liked to have seen was the trailer for the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition, which first premiered with Independance Day about 10 years ago. My brother saw ID on its first day, and he said the entire crowd was ecstatic over the return of Star Wars, which I will also point out was ultimately the forerunner to the new trilogy.

I miss when trailers used to be exciting. Then again that probably has more to do with being jaded by movie theaters than the internet.
