Loving this story. It’s made TWD enjoyable again and brought back that horror feel. Beta is an absolute unit. They cast him PERFECTLY. I’m looking forward to... (comic spoilers below) {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The Pike deaths. I think last night foreshadowed Ezekiel and Carol’s involvement... they’re going to go out looking for Henry and Ezekiel is gonna get his comic book death. As much as I like him in the show, I feel this death is needed. My other guesses are Rosita and one of Magna’s gang. Possibly the girl with the short hair. The last one is up in the air... my choice would be Henry. I just think he needs to go in order for Carol to return to her badass ways. This whole “loving housewife/mother” thing she’s got going on isn’t gonna last. Reality has to come back for her. This would also free up Daryl and Lydia to be a couple which I think would be an excellent pairing.
Negan will surely get out anytime soon now. All I know is, Alpha’s death is gonna be f***ing awesome if it’s anything like the comics. Can’t wait for Negan to redeem himself and get Lucille back. We have an epic couple of seasons ahead of us if it’s anything like the comics. Still miss Jesus though Worst axing ever.

Still got the episodes on my DVR so most likely will watch them once the season ends The whispers are def more threatening now than they were in the comics and that's a big plus for the TV show The Whisperers are the best Walking Dead villains ever! Ehhh. The problems with the Governor and Negan is they kept them around too long on the TV show Add on the Governor getting watered down and them somehow making Negan more brutal in the TV show

In the comics, The Governor is by far the best villain. The things he did to Michonne and Rick were SICK... the TV version of him was played well but he didn’t get the material. They made him somewhat sympathetic at times and for me, the TV version doesn’t even compare to the comic book version. They’re like two different characters.
Negan and The Savior’s storyline dragged out and basically made an entire season unenjoyable for the most part. I mean there were a few GREAT episodes but for the most part, it was Rick’s group planning on how to get them. And that dragged and dragged and dragged.
The Whisperers for me are by far the best villains. Next to Terminus. Loved that storyline.

See the Terminus stuff to me didn't really have enough episodes or screen time to really register as being great villains. I doubt they kill Henry off since it seems like he and Darryl have gotten most of the Rick/Carl scenes, or maybe I'm just imagining things.

Governor cuts off Ricks hand, rapes Michonne (glad they left that out), gets mutilated by Michonne in retaliation (Arm cut off, penis cut off, eye gouged out). Governor cuts off Tyrese head like he did Herschel in the TV show, destroys the prison and is responsible for the deaths of Herschel, Axel, Lori, Judith and I’m sure I’m forgetting someone Negan kills Glenn like he did in the TV show. Him and Carl dynamic remains the same. During the conclusion of the War he breaks leg and further cripples him (He now has a bad leg he walks with a cane on top of a missing hand) Whispers have a scene but that’s about it, they didn’t really any menace

David Morrisey was way too charming to come across as irredeemably evil. Even when he slaughters Herschel he feels more like a man who broke and went off the deepend, then someone who likely would’ve considered doing that before the outbreak.

Yea, credit to David to playing him how they wanted him to be as far as a charming guy who has some sadistic tendencies but you never felt he was truly evil until he broke
But comic Governor was just a different animal and when he cut off Rick hand you knew shit hit the fan. The Governor and Negan but took a piece of Rick mentally and physically in the comics and while the Whispers hurt him, they were never on the scale those two were as they set a high bar.

So were the writers just playing a lot of Red Dead 2 when they wrote the last episode? 'The Highwaymen', complete with comically sized cowboy hat

The problems with the Governor and Negan is they kept them around too long on the TV show Add on the Governor getting watered down and them somehow making Negan more brutal in the TV show I prefered show Governor to comic Governor. Comic Governor looked a sleazebag, it was no shock at all that this ratty looking guy with a long greasy ponytail who looked like the sorta guy who'd shank his own grandmother turned out to be a villain. TV show Governor looked and came across as a respectable guy at first, so it was more a shock when he turned out to be bad.

I think the fact he looked like a total sleazeball and actually was is part of the charm Obviously though you want the fans to have someone unsuspecting of being able to do those heinous acts

Maaaaaan. Say what you will about all the actors leaving and the ever-changing cast, but god damn I feel like the Whisperers and Magna’s group have really added a lot. And when I say Magna’s group, I’m mainly singling our Connie here. Between the scene of her trying to make it through the fields with the baby and this week’s episode, I just feel like adding a deaf character has been a huge plus. The quiet just gets so eerie and gives the show such a different feel. All of the stuff in the construction site was f***ing phenomenal and so so so intense.
Really loving how Darryl has stepped up as well. I always thought he was kind of an overrated character, but with Rick gone, he’s bringing it more than I ever imagined.
Henry still sucks, but damn if I haven’t been enjoying everything else in this back half of the season.

If it was Rick and his group the threat wouldn't have been the same but they have made strides in pulling this whole thing together. While I still don't like it, having them kill off Jesus went a long way in giving the Whispers a legit reason to fear them
