Technically, Young won HIS debut by DQ. And Dain already lost his in the WM33 Andre. Tough break for Wolfe, though.

Narratively it doesn't even come across as "Wolfe is their weak link because of (X)" it was just a pinfall loss to a group that just showed up.

Young stomped all over Hardy for most of their match, and then a second tier member of Sanity took the pin. I don’t think anyone came out of this looking particularly weak.
For that matter, seeing Young challenging for a WWE title on a main roster show at all is something that would not have seemed remotely feasible 3 years ago.

I'm sure it's no big deal. They'll be used well just like other NXT callups. No seriously, NXT teams do well. STOP LAUGHING YOU TWO I'M SERIOUS.

I think Sanity should be measured by what they do more than their win-loss count.
Of course, that would require them to actually do stuff, so we'll see.

Understand that the singles loss was by DQ and that the fall guy out of the group (Wolfe is beyond that tbh) took the pin, and people are saying not to worry yet, but we know WWE's track record and I am going to worry for a bit until I'm proven wrong.

Not to worry. I’m sure they’ll be used just as well as The Ascension

I think it could work if you have them respond by escalating the conflict, basically put over just how crazy and dangerous they are, but it's giving WWE a lot of credit to assume they're planning that far ahead.

I haven't seen this particular match but in general I wish more people lost their first match. It's hard for me to suspend my disbelief and buy that every new wrestler that gets called up happens to win their first match then go undefeated for 2-3 months but that's what seems to happen 95% of the time.
John Cena vs Kurt Angle, Dolph Ziggler vs Batista, Daniel Bryan vs Chris Jericho or Sami Zayn vs John Cena were way better and more realistic debuts to me than what we usually get despite them losing.

Guys losing their first matches is an awful idea. Better way to do it is use actual jobbers for a while.

No Way Jose & Apollo Crews & Adam Rose has all won their first matches.
How has that worked out for them.
Meanwhile, Dolph Ziggler LOST his first match and has a very good career.
You can lose your first match, but there's still the weeks & years afterwards.
