Was pretty gutted to see this earlier today. Never knew him personally but Schnepp seemed like one of the nicest guys ever.
I first saw Schnepp, John Campea and co. on AMC Movie Talk a few years ago when I just started university and along with broadening my movie industry knowledge, it helped me through some rough patches at uni when I was struggling to keep on top of things.
I loved Collider Heroes when Schnepp eventually started hosting the show, and The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? is a truly great documentary about the Tim Burton/Nicolas Cage Superman movie that never got made. Happy to say I paid to watch it and very much loved it. It's great he managed to get a hold of Tim Burton and Jon Peters. Shame about the lack of Nic Cage though!
RIP Schnepp. 'King of the Sweaties'.

Horrible news. In addition to everything mentioned above, he also did a lot of work on some of the better Adult Swim cartoons like Metalocalypse and Venture Bros. IIRC, he also directed every single Dethklok music video, too.

Such a bummer. Just this past November, my girlfriend bought a Metalocalypse print off of him at DesignerCon and I got to tell him how awesome the Superman Lives doc was. Nice dude.

Really sorry to hear about this, RIP. I enjoyed Schnepp’s work on Collider quite a bit.

This is monstrous. He posted not too long ago "I'm recovering from being super-sick last week but I'm better now". This happened to my sister last year, my mother called her and she was like "I don't know what's going on, It's like I have a cold". Three days later she was gone. She had caught a virus of some sort. Man dammit Schnepp, dude. A true lover of comics.

I have tears streaming down my face right now. I met Jon in passing years ago, back when the Metalocalypse fandom was still going strong. The admins of a message board I used to frequent that's since died off somehow arranged an online Q&A with him that a bunch of us Gears attended. He was a total sweetheart.
RIP.
