really good, did not feel ten years, but didn't continue with the almost jibberish the script was in the third series and kept that to a certain minimum great action, touching and very funny too
and yeah he ain't going NOWHERE!

Excellent way to finally drawn the curtain on the show. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Al's (and the show's) last words are perfect.
Trixie: "Our Father, which art in Heaven..."
Al: "Let Him... f***ing... stay there."

My only problem was that it wasn't a mini-series. Seeing all the characters again made me want to spend more time with them, 2 hours just flew by. I even have burning questions about the minor characters; I want to know how Aunt Lou quit working for Hearst to stay in Deadwood, what happened to Balzanov as the telephone replaced the telegraph and how the hell Con Stapleton became a preacher!

Pretty good ending to a show that I didn't believe would ever get one.

I thought it was pretty good. But I do wish it was a mini-series. Mainly, I was just glad to be back and that place, again. And to hear those characters speak in the ways that they do.

I would have loved a longer finale, or hell, another season, (Though that isn't really possible) but I loved the movie. Deadwood is probably my favorite TV show ever, and I got a little emotional at the end, which I NEVER do with any form of entertainment.

I enjoyed it. They could only do so much but it really felt like it didn't skip a beat in terms of returning to the world. Would have absolutely loved another season but understand why. I may just give the show a re-watch since it's one of my favs.
But I miss Powers Boothe and wish Adams had been in it.

Incredibly well done, a return to true form one last time. Every stepped right back into their parts wonderfully; this was a 2 hour reunion that delivered and added more to the mythos.
Bullock was even better as an older guy (I'd read Olyphant wasn't a fan of his own performance in Deadwood, because he thought he was too young for it), I don't think Gerald McRaney has aged since he last played Hearst, and while Swearingen spent the whole movie dying he was still as effective/brilliant as ever (and that last line... wow).
I was very surprised they got everyone back who was a player in the show. Even Jeffrey Jones, who I thought was persona non grata in Hwood after his IRL problems of 10 years ago.
Worth the wait and then some.

Bullock was even better as an older guy (I'd read Olyphant wasn't a fan of his own performance in Deadwood, because he thought he was too young for it) Olyphant's always been a really good actor, and he was good during the show's run, but his craft has developed so much since Deadwood was cancelled so I can see where he's coming from.
