I admire Dave for sticking to his convictions, but I question the feasibility of this. Even if James Gunn hadn't been fired, the third Guardians movie was still a long ways off. Chances are whatever script Gunn wrote would have changed in not insubstantial ways anyways before making it to theaters. It would've still been Gunn making the changes, or at least supervising them, as he did with the first two. Dave appears to have at least accepted Gunn won't direct, but he doesn't want him to be Benoit'd from the third movie.

If Disney wants to keep Big Dave around, all the company has to do is simply duct tape Batista's feet to the GOTG3 set.

I know the eternal question about Batista is how big his dick is, but few have to ask about how big his balls are, because as he's proving once again, his balls are huge and unbreakable. You go on, Big Dave. Kick some ass for what's right.

If history is any indication, things will probably go like this.
Batista will quit. He'll announce that he's going to try doing something else. Fans will mock him for attempting something outside of his wheelhouse. He'll be freaking awesome at his new endeavor. Then the cycle will begin again.

Someone would be making a decision on what works and what doesn't and what needs to be changed. How many Hollywood classics have drastic deviations from their shooting scripts, let alone their first draft? Batista's taking that option away from them and forcing them to go with what could very well be a flawed and incomplete version of the story, one that even James Gunn might have thought of as a raw outline that he'd probably have to fix up as they got closer to filming. I admire Dave's loyalty, but what he's demanding here just isn't a logistically smart move from a production side of things.

I, for one, am looking forward to Batista developing an affordable flying car, playing first chair violin with the London Philharmonic, or winning the Pulitzer Prize for art criticism.

Will see if Disney balks
There's been a lot of unrest from the GOTG cast and Big Dave is a big piece in that team. Regardless of that I can't just see them letting Dave off the hook unless the whole cast continues to make a stink about bringing Gunn back
It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out

I saw that second Guardians Of The Galaxy film and I think i'd be fine with everybody top to bottom quitting and just leaving it at pretending they only made one

Could the Russos add GOTG to their plate? Would it be a good fit? Or....is a Schumacher incident imminent? (No, Marvel's not immune from this sort of thing....coughIRONMAN3cough)

Hard to really judge exactly what Batista means based on one quote. Does he mean he'll quit if Gunn's whole script is tossed out, or does he mean he'll go if any alterations are made at all? Would he be okay if the final script is 75% Gunn's script, or even just the story?

I thought Iron Man 3 sucked. Though while at first I preferred Terrence Howard to Don Cheadle as Rhody, I grew to like Cheadle a lot more.

Cheadle has the "no nonsense" guy who serves his country character down packed tho for Rhody
The banter between Howard and Downey Jr would have been great

As he leaves, he does the queen’s wave while screaming “I don’t love and I’m not sorry!”

He could always go back to WWE I guess. Part time though I'm sure. Certainly lots of possibilities for him if he does goes back. Lesnar, HHH & Bryan feuds would be cool.
