It's kinda sad that Ray Rice, the only guy who actually showed genuine remorse and vowed to be a better person, was the only one who never played again because he was older. Yea, talent always dictates what you are willing to do for a person and how far a limb you're willing to go

Idk if I even want him anymore. He’s been such a headache this offseason. It's like Urinatingtree said, he's an amazing talent, but at this point, he's just a cancer to the team.

I'm not excusing Brown's behavior, but it's amazing how Roethlisberger always comes off like he's coated in Teflon whenever there's locker room issues with the Steelers. Maybe he's the real problem but it's easier to replace a toxic wide receiver or runningback than it is to replace a more toxic quarterback.

I don't know, Roethlisberger seems to be catching his share of criticism for his role in the Steelers' locker room meltdown. I just tend to think that telling a player to turn down music and calling out your receivers on a radio show is less egregious than quitting on your teammates in the final week of the season, sharing an image of yourself in another team's jersey, and taking a bunch of passive-aggressive potshots on social media toward your teammates. Mike Tomlin is getting a big pass too Not surprising since it is the Stealers, but any other team he would be on the proverbial hot seat. ESPN got an entire off-season's worth of content out of whether Bill Belichick and Tom Brady can co-exist and whether Belichick lost the locker room after benching Malcolm Butler in Super Bowl LII. Could you imagine the noise coming out of Bristol if Rob Gronkowski quit on the team in week 17 and then shared an image on Twitter of him in a 49ers uniform, Brady called out Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan on talk radio, and James White sat out the entire season over a contract dispute?

Dammit.
Edit: Flacco to Denver is only waiting on the new league year to start to be official.
Edit 2: Seems to be for a middraft pick, 4th round if true which makes this easier to accept. Plus we've got an extra the to the DT trade.

having an average QB still won't solve most of their issues, but it might be enough to mask them
neither will Elway completely flopping on every other draft class

Case Keenum finished 2018 with 18 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, a 62.3 completion percentage, and an 81.2 quarterback rating. Joe Flacco was benched midway through the 2018 season and finished with 12 touchdowns, six interceptions, a 61.2 completion percentage, and an 84.2 quarterback rating. He's also set to make $18.5 million this season.
At what point does John Elway's name recognition and accomplishments as a player wear off and Broncos ownership realizes he's not a good general manager? The guy is coasting off of his achievements as a player, the acquisition of Peyton Manning seven years ago, and an all-time defense that won a ring in 2015.

Elway as GM is fading fading thanks to the Vance Joseph hire. From the few places I visit he's go maybe 60 to 65 percent approval and most of that comes from the Super Bowl and bringing in Manning as you said. That said, with the current ownership situation, it will be damn near impossible to make any changes. For Flacco, it seems to be down to Fangio and Kubiak being a fans from their brief time in Baltimore. The money is actually a positive as his number is 3 million lower than Case's and non of it guaranteed. This sets pretty well for attempt 3 of drafting the future QB.

Like I said, I'm not excusing Brown's actions at all, but Roethlisberger has gotten a pass from his team, Steelers fans, and the sports media in general for a lot worse.

Is Brown a big diva, yes but Ben has done some shit in his career that is seemingly forgotten about and people praise him as a leader
Shit is bad with him and like I said Tomlin who seems Teflon for criticism despite doing a "bad job" over last few years.

Like I said, I'm not excusing Brown's actions at all, but Roethlisberger has gotten a pass from his team, Steelers fans, and the sports media in general for a lot worse. If you're trying to argue that Antonio Brown now is facing more heat and criticism from fans and media than Ben Roethlisberger did back in 2009 and 2010, it's not even comparable. Roethlisberger's troubles landed him in headlines in the "news" section of the newspaper, whereas Brown is making headlines in the "sports" section. Roethlisberger lost endorsements, found himself in multiple legal battles, and was suspended for four games. It's pretty safe to say that Brown won't be losing endorsements, finding himself in legal trouble, or being suspended by the league for being a jackass on social media. Now, if you're saying that those troubles aren't being brought up now in the midst of the Antonio Brown trade rumors, my response would be why should they? As abhorrent and awful as the allegations against Roethlisberger were, they have no bearing on why Antonio Brown is looking to leave Pittsburgh and why he's being criticized for how he's handling his imminent departure.

I don't even hate the trade for the Broncos, but that is amazing.

And theres your difference between the Patriots and the Steelers. Bill and Brady stole the magic of the Steelers and now have surpassed them as an organization. No dispute. The Steelers aren't the Steelers. They are an old man team that's too stubborn to fault themselves because of past success.

Collusion case over... Kap withdraws with a settlement. Yeah, once news of him turning down that AAF offer as well as Eric Reid getting a new three year contract to stay in Carolina, this case was gonna end soon.

They made everything confidential, too. I'm guessing Kaep and Reid had real evidence of collusion and the NFL paid them off enough to walk away happy.
