Now might be the best time for Robert Kraft to step away from the Patriots and hand the reins over to his son Jonathan - who he's been grooming as his heir apparent for about a decade-plus. He's 77 years old, he's won more than any other owner in NFL history, he's coming off of his sixth Super Bowl championship, and he just started a criminal justice reform initiative where he can focus more of his time and attention. The New England Patriots are where they are because Robert Kraft stepped in and bought the team in 1994, saving them from moving to St. Louis. He used $725 million of his own money (and not a cent of public funding) to build a stadium and outdoor shopping and entertainment complex to ensure the Patriots stayed in Foxboro. He's been smart enough since the Bill Parcells debacle of 1996-97 to be hands-off and let the day-to-day operations be run by those within the Patriots organization. He played a key role in saving football during the 2011 lockout. And that's on top of his myriad charitable causes and philanthropic endeavors. As a fan, of course I'm bummed that he went out and made an incredibly poor decision that led to legal trouble. But that's a pockmark on an otherwise incredible career as the owner of a team that's provided me, again as a fan, with countless memories. And thus begins the Downfall of the New England Patriots. That's an evergreen statement if I've ever heard one. Even if this sinks Robert Kraft, the team is still in great hands with his son Jonathan, who, as I said earlier, has been groomed for this title for the better part of the last decade.

Considering my team's owner is a drunken buffoon at times, I can't sling too hard, but on the other hand, the jokes just write themselves.

My two reactions; 1; lol 2; ... ew In that order. And they say it's all on tape. What's Kraft gonna say? That he "interpreted the law differently?" Jackass.

Kraft hangs out with Meek Mill and has a $20k iced out chain... this is not surprising. He’ll be making it rain in the clubs while spilling cristal like it’s tap water before he can hit up the Early Bird at Dennys

Can Goodell suspend an owner? Will he try? He can and has in the past. The most recent episode was a 6 game suspension and $500K fine for Jim Irsay's DUI.

Sources say the Steelers are setting the parameters that they will not trade Antonio Brown to either the New England Patriots or anyone in the AFC North

So if the Ravens offered five #1's they would turn it down? If they were smart they'd trade him to whatever team gave the best offer.

Randy Gregory is out indefinitely following another drug test failure.
The Niners have put the franchise tag on kicker Robbie Gould.

Randy Gregory is out indefinitely following another drug test failure. Dude needs help. Like all jokes aside, serious professional help. If you're throwing away millions because you can't let go of certain habits, something is up.

Even if not necessarily warranted, lmao.

Look at Aldon Smith.., dude was a generational talent and threw it all away because he liked the drink too much.
