Giants are letting Landon Collins go to free agency because the Giants' organization is a mess.

Well, sounds like the Josh Rosen project is done after 1 year as Arizona is actively shopping him around to other teams. Wonder if anybody will take a chance on him. I really don't get this decision from the Cardinals (unless, of course, it's a smokescreen to try to get someone infatuated with Murray - coughJonGrudencough - to trade for the #1 pick). Not in the binary sense of Rosen vs. Murray, in which case choosing Murray does make sense (the numbers at Pro Football Focus say that, out of all of the QBs from this year's and last year's drafts, only Baker Mayfield is a better prospect than Murray), but the choice isn't that. It's Murray and roughly a third round pick, per Peter King, or Rosen and the #1 overall pick (or, say, Rosen, the #4 overall pick, two second round picks this year, and another second next year, if they could trade the #1 pick for a deal comparable to the one the Colts got for the #3 last year, which you would assume they should be able to). In that case, it seems pretty obvious to me to take Rosen and the basket of picks, especially given the fact that the Cardinals are so devoid of talent that they might as well be relegated to the AAF. I know that Murray is well-regarded, but, given the crap-shoot nature of the draft, it seems pretty obvious to me that the extra bites at the apple are much more likely to make the Cardinals better than just Murray. I mean, I'm a Bears fan. Just two short years ago, my team traded two third rounders and a fourth to move up one pick to take who was the consensus top QB in the draft, just to make sure they didn't get stuck with Patrick Mahomes. It would have been nice if they'd stayed where they were, keep the extra picks (which became Alvin Kamara, Tedric Thompson, and Fred Warner, and also required the Bears to then trade up again so that they could grab Eddie Jackson with the pick right after Thompson), and either let Trubisky fall to them, or settle for Patrick Mahomes.

Giants are letting Landon Collins go to free agency because the Giants' organization is a mess. I'll agree, but in fairness, the Giants D overall sucked with and without him in the lineup. Let him go elsewhere and be part of a playoff-caliber team, because it sure as hell ain't happening on the Blue side of MetLife Stadium for a number of years to come.

People in the Redskins media want them to take him as they feel his struggles were because he was on a terrible team and even comparing him to Jared Goff I mean.. He was a rookie on an awful team under a first year head coach (one the team was so disappointed by they let go after one season) with no real receiving threats besides a nearly retired Larry Fitzgerald. He wasn't even supposed to play - Bradford was the opening day starter. Despite that, he wasn't godawful. There should be quite a few suitors. Washington, Miami, NYG and Denver to sit and learn behind Eli/Flacco for a season, Pittsburgh to take over for Ben eventually.. I'd be very, very interested if I were the Giants. I think it'd be the perfect fit. Barkley and OBJ would make life a lot easier for a young QB.

LB Jamie Collins has been released by the Browns From a on field or cap space issue, I don't get this. Sure, he was underperforming that contract. After all, Anthony Walker got nearly identical stats for the Colts while on his rookie contract (for a 5th round pick, no less) despite A) the fact that Darius Leonard was on the field gobbling up tackles like crazy and B) he had one fewer game last season than Collins did. (Honestly, it annoys me that people act like the Colts desperately need to get a new starter to play LB next to Leonard when the #29 tackler in the league is already his running mate.) Having said all of that, Collins still did lead the Browns in tackling, so if he was underperforming then everyone else on the team did less than him (well, Schobert basically had similar stats, but you get my point). Considering their cap space, I'd say it would be better to keep him on for another year, even if you feel he is not earning his pay since you won't actually need the cap relief cutting him grants you. I'd have kept him and explored cutting him next year, when you might actually need cap relief and won't be burdened with as much dead money.

The trade of Case Keenum to Washington has me wondering, how many teams - as of March 7 - are totally confident in their quarterback position going into the 2019 season? The way I see it, there are four teams that are still not totally 100 percent under center, for one reason or another:
BENGALS: Andy Dalton - Cincinnati could save $16.2 million by releasing or trading Dalton during the off-season.
CARDINALS: Josh Rosen - Rumors are swirling that the Cardinals may trade Rosen, thus opening a window for them to draft Kyler Murray with the first overall pick next month.
DOLPHINS: Ryan Tannehill - A lot of smart football people are speculating that Tannehill may be straight-up released. If done after June 1, Miami would have $13.3 million in dead cap money over the next two years, but would also save $18.7 million.
RAIDERS: Derek Carr - This would have to be a trade, as Oakland would take on a massive hit in dead cap money by cutting Carr. But by trading him before June 1, they'd save $15 million against $7.5 million in dead cap money; and trading him after June 1 would provide $20 million in savings against $7 million in dead cap money in 2019 and 2020.

Bengals - I think they stick with Dalton cause they still got the combo of him and Green for at least one more season to try it out
Cardinals - Can't call it. Can't judge Rosen fairly off that bum squad but it's a new regime and they might be infatuated with him
Dolphins - They are drafting a QB I think
Raiders - I see them using their early picks to fill out the team and use a 3rd or 4th round pick to develop a QB and leave them room to draft a QB in 1st round next year
Looking ahead for next 2 years
Patriots - Who do they decide they will to study under Brady Washington - Going need a QB assuming Smith is done and Keenum is a stop gap Broncos - Going need someone after Flacco Chargers - Need someone after Phillips
Unknown
Tampa Bay - They have a decision to make with Winston

Earlier in the season I thought it was a given the Pats grab a QB in round 1 or 2. This time I think they take a flyer on a project or maybe somebody who drops into the later rounds. If they don't love anybody I don't think they reach. Honestly Brady started showing some signs of dropping off this year which still ended with a Super Bowl win.

Good luck being New England's b**** twice a year instead of once with just a shot at winning.
Also, Urinating Tree, how do you feel?
EDIT: Now Antonio Brown is saying Fake News. Maybe he is trying to tell himself that his own team didn't screw him. Maybe now he'll try to pull a Terrell Owens with San Francisco.
