The final preseason game should be free admission. The final preseason game should be cancelled and be a universal preseason bye week.

As much bad as the last pre-season games are....it also presents a last chance for several people on the roster to make the final cut and for those people, that is extremely important.

Odell Beckham Jr. gets a 5 year/$95 million extension, $65m guaranteed.
Whew.

In the grand scheme of things it's a good deal in the escalating nature that is contracts and guaranteed money in the NFL
Was expecting something like $100 million and $75 guaranteed. Antonio Brown is the only WR right now that can break that deal as I think Julio Jones while at his best is better than Odell, he might be on the down slide in terms of his production

not sure I would've invested that much guaranteed money in a contract for a guy with a history of hamstring issues and coming off a broken foot

He's also a phenomenal talent and arguably the best WR in the NFL today. Especially since he's still a really young player still on his rookie contract. He's only going to get better. And it seems like he and Shurmur (and Gettleman) are on the same page compared to how he was with Coughlin and McAdoo.
He's been a record-breaking WR in spite of an aging, immobile Eli Manning playing behind a swiss cheese offensive line with a nonexistent running game. Like dudes know he's absolutely the go-to target and he still makes amazing catches and gets great YAC numbers. And this year, there should be an improved o-line and a potential franchise-type runningback in Barkley.

Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reports holdout DE Khalil Mack is "likely" to miss regular-season games.
They need to pay the man

I'll never say someone in the NFL is "only going to get better" especially after they just missed mist of the seaosn.

What's crazy is Jarvis Landry is just as good as him but doesn't get the same recognition but those dudes if they were on the same team again would been crazy
Giants signed him as the face of the franchise since Eli is eventually going to retire so between him and Barkley you have potential high impact players and Sterling as well

Sadly, tho the dude won't get traded because no one is going to give up a 1 &2 plus have to pay him
If it was something like Two 2's and a 4 it would be more manageable I believe because the dude has had almost 40 sacks in 3 years so he be worth the money

To add to that, I think Odell has gotten past the overrated slut known as Josh Norman... as has every competent wide receiver in the NFL.

The Packers have 2 1st rounders next year -- I'd gladly swap one of the 1st and a 2nd for Mack -- then sign him long term

Problem is they are about to give Rodgers the richest contract in NFL history and Khalil will command one of the richest LB contract if not defensive contracts in history
Think they might be clamping down on the books

I'd be all for another stock sale to afford Khalil Mack I mean Packers can make it work
They hardly splurge in free agency anyway and like to retool through the draft
When the Rodgers contract gets done i'm sure they will have a better idea of what the financials will be

It's not so much clamping down on the books as it is keeping your salary cap healthy. They are going to have to pay Rodgers between 31 and 35 million. They would have to pay Mack between 20 and 25 million. That is 1/3rd of your cap tied up in just two players. Then you have to think of all the players who have expiring contracts that you want to re-sign, like Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, David Bakhtiari, and several others. You are going to lose core players if you sign Rodgers and then tie up that kind of money in Mack. They are far better off keeping both 1st rounders and having the opportunity to have 2 top of the draft players on their rookie deal and still have money left over from the money they would have to spend to get Mack to sign at least two or 3 others. I will take 4 players for that 25 million over one Khilil Mack.

Packers traded QB Brett Hudley to Seattle so DeShone Kizer will be Rodgers' backup
Browns LB Mychal Kendricks has been charged with insider trading

If they were one player away I can see it but you have the ability to change your franchise with 2 solid 1st round picks or even trade one those 1st round picks to move back in the draft for multiple picks if you want
Mack would be a luxury for them to have but it's not their main concern which can be said for a few teams who would love to have him like the Jets as well
Keep an eye on the Rams tho
