Carmella has actually done a pretty amazing job of keeping herself relevant in the last few years. I think she's got more of a wrestling mind than folks realize - all the Ellsworth stuff was her idea and was really what made her relevant. The title run was what it was but she was still heavily featured always. While Truth is more of a supporting player, they're still getting significant TV time. Good for her.

Well I guess this is the WWE's way of combating the fact people don't like when people drastically change their character when turning heel/babyface so now a face turn is just facing someone who is a bigger heel.

So can she join New Day full time now? She's been the fourth member of New Day in my mind since the first Mixed Match Challenge. Might as well make it official.

I find it amazing they are doing entire storylines to set up this Mixed Match Challenge thing that no one will watch. Plenty of people will watch. That's why they are doing it a second time.

The fans got on Carmella's side last week when R-Truth told her that Maryse said Carmella was Staten Island trash.

Blame Toronto.
We cheered Hogan too much creative gave in.
We did it again in 2018 with Carmella.

Her dad was a wrestler, so it makes sense she 'gets it' in a character/showman sense.

Vince Russo has finally gotten his wish. No heels or faces only shades of grey, bro.

She might be The Miz of the 2nd wave of NXT Talen't,a great utility player who has a way of turning throwaway segments into something and is versatile as a performer. Really she just doesn't need to be in ppv title matches that expose her unpolished ring work and in general I think she is solid enough where she can make herself relevent even when she is not chasing/holding a time.

I love this face turn. Who needs an explaination when you are this FABOLOUS!
I would love for her to steal that nickname so the next generation can refer to Fabolous as her not some dead wrestler who was a pimp.

Carmella played her heel character so well that she became likeable and fun.
I see nothing wrong with this.

I really struggle to understand how anyone can get invested in anyone when WWE can just turn around and say, "Hey you! Yeah, you. You're a good guy now... How? Uh... f*** it, just dance and wave at the fans. Whadaya want?"
I get that sometimes you have low card guys straddle the line between face and heel just to fill out cards. But we should expect a little more from someone who was basically 'Queen B' of SmackDown for a chunk of the year. But no, she's face now cause "fabulous," or whatever the gimmick is.

You want your heel to meet with some sort of karma. I just don't think losing the belt was enough. Especially when she was sort of the third wheel in her own title defense when she lost it. I think she needed to at least get bodied by Asuka, or something. Or since she's going heel anyway, you do something with Becky hurting her, thus creating sympathy.

Is she smiling during her entrance and pointing at random people in the crowd? That’s the real sign of a face turn.

That’s the real sign of a face turn. hey now she went back to her natural hair color, that's clearly a sign of a character turn in the women's division given they lack beards to grow or shave like their male counterparts when they make a heel/face, face/heel turn.

Things like this really don’t bother me, because if the fans get behind them then it is what it is, heels transition easily to baby faces without making a fuss of it.
Faces to heels are a different story, there needs to be more of story as to why someone has turned bad.
