During the attitude era when they were all active?
You see a mega star like Austin and Rock and then there's Hunter. Even with all he's accomplished today, it just still feels if you see HHH but you see Rock and Austin too, he just isn't in their league.
Anyone think this bugs Triple H?

I mean Austin, Rock and Hogan are in their own tier for a reason, so yeah. I'd put HHH on the level just below with guys like Cena, HBK and Undertaker which isn't a bad spot to end up in.

He's spent the last ten or so years trying to convince us that he's in the same tier but we ain't buying. HHH did a LOT of great shit, but nah.

There is a reason HHH is always described as the never being the guy who makes money but is the guy who works with the guy who makes money.

When I was a kid, I wanted to get a WWF sticker at my local grocery store out of those .75 machines. There were Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, and Kane, all dudes I knew through my friends' games/action figures who seemed badass.
I got HHH and was super sad because he looked like a weinerhead and I didn't know him.

Rock and Austin are on the Mount Rushmore
HHH is the very damn good list which is great obviously when you consider the people who have been in this business but he’s a tier below Austin and Rock

HHH is like Toad in Mario Games. He'll never be mistaken for being on the level with Mario, Bowser, Peach or even Luigi. But he will normally be in the short list of known characters that are important after them. He contributes to the cause. He's not forgettable. But there's a reason it's not called Super Toad's World or Toad Kart. He might get an obscure game to himself from time to time, but it's never a big money game.
Oh and he has most of his power due to being the Princess' bitch.

Triple H is basically the Big Sean to Rock and Austin's Kendrick and Drake.

It definitely bugs him and Foley with Undertaker also overshadowed him hahaha
Here’s the thing with Trips, he was never the guy, he always worked with the guy and ended up putting him over. Trips was never the focus of the show, when he was put on top, it was because the top guys left.
And when he was on top raw sucked for years.

Well yeah they overshadowed him. At the height of his popularity he was a very distant third. But that's a distant third to 2 of the 3 biggest stars in the history of the business so it's not really anything to be ashamed of. It's like sure, Kirby doesn't sell as much as Super Mario or Pokemon but it's still Kirby.

2000 HHH was excellent but aside from that I can’t think of a more overhyped career. Jack of all trades, master of none. That’s HHH in a nutshell, IMO.

It can bug him all he wants, but he wasn’t as over as either of those two and I wasn’t even close. He was also overshadowed by Undertaker, Mick Foley and Vince at the time.
H has a great legacy as a wrestler and will possibly have an even better one in the office. He was nowhere near the level of those other guys though.
