www.wwe.com/article/wwe-crown-jewel-riyadh-saudi-arabia-november-2018Didn't see a thread on the announcement of the second Saudi show. What do we think? Complete overkill? Ultimate meh? A tournament sounds fun enough. Interested to see how the 'World Cup' aspect of it is done. I remember the TNA World Cup tournaments. I couldn't care less about that UC Triple Threat. Think we'll get a DX Vs. Brothers of Destruction match? Nothing says LAST TIME EVER than having the two wrestlers face off with each other a month later right? Personally, these glorified house shows are getting a little ridiculous.

Meh. I like the idea of an international talent tournament (hopefully World Cup is generic enough of a term that WWE don't get FIFA on their asses), but this is just another show in what's gonna be a long-ass haul of major shows to close out the year.

Not a fan of another match that Brock and Reigns facing off. Limited matches you have for Brock so ALL year you have him facing the same guy over and over with not one good match to come out of it.

I’m surprised that WWE isn’t going back to the stadium in Jeddah; this show will emanate from King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. Here are some pictures:

The previous Brock/Roman match in Saudi Arabia was somewhat intriguing because there was genuine mystery as to what the finish would be. This time there’s really no mystery at all. There’s no way in hell they're giving the title back to Brock now, and I can’t picture Strowman getting his first title in a triple threat match.
Is there any news about whether it will be another sausage fest? I know they had a Sasha Banks/Alexa Bliss match in Abu Dhabi a little while back with them wearing more conservative attire, so maybe they could work out a compromise like that? The Evolution pay-per-view is only five days before this, so having an all-men show so closely afterwards seems to go against their “women empowerment” PR campaign that they’re so nauseatingly self-aggrandizing about.

Yeah, it’s such a waste of him. People like to bag on Brock on here, but the guy can be truly special when he’s booked properly and against the right opponent. But this whole year has been: Braun and Kane triple threat at the Royal Rumble Roman at Wrestlemania Roman at Saudi Arabia Roman at Summerslam Roman and Braun triple threat in Saudi Arabia Meanwhile, they could have given us the Daniel Bryan feud that people have wanted to see for years, a Seth Rollins feud, or even a “make good” feud with Dean Ambrose. Hell, I’d much rather have another Cena match with him than a sixth freakin’ match with Roman Reigns.

World Cup?
Will that mean we'll see the return of "That Sumo Guy"?

Crown Jewels??! They really show some "testicular fortitude" to call a PPV in a muslim country like that. Since Vince also got away with "Great Balls of fire" we might see an event called "Grapefruits" in the future.

Does Brock honestly think that he is going to beat D.C somewhere around January-February when he is still doing this?

But hey, it looks impressive I guess.

Looks like you'll need binoculars to see the action from half the seats

You sure about that? Lot of talk (and right now, it's just talk) going around that they're going to let Brock go into the Cormier UFC match holding the WWE title. Why do they keep trying?! $$$. Can you imagine the crowing they could do if the WWE champ defeated the UFC champ on a UFC ppv? Also, more $$$. Dude's getting over a mil to work the SA show because he's money for it. Those guys aren't paying WWE eight digits to watch Kevin Owens and NXT call-ups. They're paying for the big stars (to them. Remember, for the first show, they requested the already-then deceased Warrior wrestle on it) like UT, Brock and HHH. Brock is Fox deal money. Brock is Saudi deal money. He may not be IWC money anymore, but we're not handing Vince $50 million to see Lesnar do a few suplexes, either.
