I remember my teacher always having it on in the classroom when we got there. Are you sure it wasn't Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog? Because I remember that being on every day throughout the week. Yeah, this used to come on before class each day. I’d watch this right after Garfield and Friends as I was getting ready for school

AOSTH could be cute and funny, but SatAM was "can't miss" for me. I just liked the epicness and how intense it was.

Nothing like another reminder that I’m getting old as f***
That being said, I loved SatAM as a kid. Adventures was on at 7 or 7:30 on Saturdays, and SatAM always came on around 9 and for some reason as a kid I would constantly forget which one aired at which time. I was always disappointed when I turned on Sonic the Hedgehog (this is in the days of a scrolling channel listing as it’s own channel and both shows just showed up as Sonic the Hedgehog) and it was Adventures.
Was also huge into the Sonic comics as a kid, had a huge collection at one point that in pretty sure ended up either donated to goodwill or sold at a garage sale. Boy do I wish I still had those.
The irony is I was always a Nintendo guy, I didn’t own a Sega console until I was in high school and started really getting into collecting games that I got a Dreamcast and Mega Drive

If I remember correctly, this was part of some big Saturday morning block of cartoons? I remember whichever network doing a great job of hyping it up, making it feel like it was a big deal. They had a sneak peak Friday night, and I got all excited and had a hard time sleeping. I think I do remember that: ABC's TGIF block used to do an annual(?) special where one of the sitcoms would do a preview of the new set of Saturday morning cartoons the night before they debuted, so they'd do a skit that ended with the cast sitting in front of a TV and seeing the theme song or clips of the first episodes of the different shows. For that one, I remember them using the cast of Hanging with Mr. Cooper, and previewing Sonic, Cro, and a couple of others, ReBoot might've been among them. Pretty sure that era of ABC also had shows like Free Willy and Bump in the Night in their rotation.

-Season 3 was likely to feature Knuckles, plus would have increased the amount of character development for Tails. A common complaint about the series is that Tails wasn't featured enough, but they long had the goal of expanding his role, but, well, Disney bought ABC and that ended that. -The glowing red eyes at the end of the cliffhanger? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}It's Naugus. 1) Ironically, didn't Disney own DiC shortly after this? 2) I thought THAT was to be Knuckles. I mean, the timing was on for him to debut in animated form and {Spoiler} Naugus was someone only hardcore SatAM fans would know.

I mean, the timing was on for him to debut in animated form and {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Naugus was someone only hardcore SatAM fans would know. To be fair, {Spoiler}Naugus was introduced in season 2, and this was the season 2 cliffhanger, so it wouldn't have been too strange. Regarding the story of what the third season would have been, which was relayed by writer Ben Hurst before he sadly passed away far too early, {Spoiler}the idea would be that Snively got Naugus out of the Void, but that eventually Naugus would be so powerful and unrestrained that Snively would have to go begging the Freedom Fighters to help him. Robotnik would also return (having been caught in the Void at the end of Doomsday Project) and be stuck in the "Snively" role beneath Naugus, though I imagine he'd have worked overtime to depose Naugus and stab him in the back again. There's a website called "Fans United for SatAM" that started making a comic book third season adaptation that, at least of what I read, was actually quite good, and it might still be going on but I haven't checked in awhile. A few years back they were hoping to try and get it animated; I even submitted a demo reel, just in case, but that never got off the ground.
