If I remember correctly, this was part of some big Saturday morning block of cartoons? I remember whichever network doing a great job of hyping it up, making it feel like it was a big deal. They had a sneak peak Friday night, and I got all excited and had a hard time sleeping.

The cancellation was when SatAM TV jumped the shark for me. Well until Kids' WB (the first couple of years)

I remember that special, and being excited to see characters like Antoine and Sally from the comics I was following fully animated and voiced. |

Loved this show. Was one of my favorites growing up on Saturdays. Dramatic, action-packed and lots of character development. Glad I got the entire series on DVD when it came out 11 years ago.
Also, Sonic/Sally 4 Life.

I'm still a little salty that Adventures had 65 episodes, but SatAM only had 26, and ended on a cliffhanger.

Don't remember the name, but I watched it and I think it went for a while too.

And yet despite that there are still fans of Sonic's sister in the show.
As for SatAM, while I do agree it's a good show, sometimes I think it gets over-praised by the fandom to the point where some will not accept any other interpretation.
But that's just my view on the matter.
Also, why the hell did it take us until Sonic X in the early 2000s to get the real Super Sonic on any show? SatAM in particular annoyed me by having an episode titled Super Sonic and not actually having Super Sonic appear.

Fun facts: -Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, the "silly one", was the original project being worked on for an animated Sonic, but the people in charge decided they wanted a more adventure based show late in development, leading to the making of two shows at the same time. -Jim Cummings voiced Robotnik in the unaired pilot of Adventures of the Sonic the Hedgehog, using a voice more akin to his Pete voice from Goof Troop, but upon the request to change the style of the show he shifted to the iconic villain voice that terrified my childhood. Thankfully, Long John Baldry provided the comedic Robotnik voice, thus enriching future YouTube Poops. -The creators of the show didn't get a chance to actually play Sonic; instead, they were shown footage of the first couple of levels of Sonic 1 (Green Hill and Marble Zones), were filled in on the characters Sega of America had in mind, and there it was. -The season 2 creative crew, different in large part from the season 1 writers (you can see the changes in budget and some in tone between the two seasons), were asked to work on the ill-fated Sonic Underground. They went there expecting to kind of make a new SatAM (there's even some images in SU that are straight from SatAM, like a worn down King Acorn statue from when Robotnik took over, plus the use of the Cummings-style Robotnik and even Uncle Chuck), but were baffled when the group behind the show told them they had to include songs in each episode and revolve it around that. -Season 3 was likely to feature Knuckles, plus would have increased the amount of character development for Tails. A common complaint about the series is that Tails wasn't featured enough, but they long had the goal of expanding his role, but, well, Disney bought ABC and that ended that. -The glowing red eyes at the end of the cliffhanger? {Spoiler}It's Naugus. |

I really don't think AOSTH is anyway near as bad as people say. Incredibly silly?, absolutely but I still enjoy it. I must admit I never really grew up with Satam as I don't think it ever aired here in the UK.. Unless it was on Sky which I didn't have at the time. Watched it on Netflix and yeah I see the appeal. It's definetly better than Underground.. someone snuck their OC's into a show  |

I prefer Adventures over Satam (fight me).
In Satam, Sonic was pretty much jobbed out most episodes, and he was a dimwit who relied on Sally. I think the comic version of the same cast were much better. I was actually disappointed when I saw how the show came out.
At least I got some laughs with Adventures. I remember moving to a different town, and discovering this show (after Satam already aired). Which I then said "A good Sonic show!"

I grew up knowing only of the Adventures series, so it took until I started my internet travels to figure out there was actually a second series running at the same time. It threw me off when I went to the old Sega World Sydney and they’d have things of Princess Sally all over the place, because she wasn’t in Adventures or the games. I thought it was someone they’d created just for the park just so there was a girl character.
