No, it wasn't. I saw it....no it wasn't. I also saw it, it should have been 2min No, he damn near killed the guy. I've been cheering for Vegas in this series but that major penalty was justified.

No, it wasn't. I saw it....no it wasn't. I also saw it, it should have been 2min No, the first guy pushing him down was a 2 minute one, the second guy hitting him in the air was deserving of 5

Someone chokes in an epic fashion in a Sharks playoff series. And this time it’s not the Sharks.

I have one thing to say to Vegas as they are new to this.
Welcome to NHL Playoff Hockey. Where Triumph and Heartbreak are just a goal apart.
We've been here too many times. You will be here more times, trust me on that.

It's insane, really: The two teams with the best records in their conferences get slaughtered. Pekka Rinne fails to be too good right now. THE F***ING PENGUINS get swept. John Tavares ends up on the wrong team and goes home. Last year's runner-up in the West is out. Last year's Cup runner-up is now gone. And we still have Washington and Carolina going to a Game 7.
Don't ask me who is winning Lord Stanley's Cup now because I have not the slightest f***ing clue anymore.

Lets be honest, any series that wasn't a swept in the first round, all have had some epic ending for games and series. How can anybody not love Playoff Hockey. So intense.

It was a bullshit call that penalised the outcome, not the action. Eakins definitely didn’t deserve anything, there’s an argument for 2 min, but certainly not 5+10.
It was a routine hockey scrum, with a terrible outcome. But massively bullshit penalty. If it were actually a penalty, the refs would’ve called it immediately instead of calling it after Pavalski was being carried off the ice. It was purely reactionary to the injury, not the play itself.

Vegas was not cheated out of the game, they lost.

Especially with how the refs have been eating their whistles across all series this playoff. It was reactionary, and it was a bullshit call. If the exact same play happened, but Pavalski skated off on his own, or even twisted his ankle and had to be helped there is no f***ing way the call it 5+10. So it’s a bullshit call 2. I never mentioned Vegas at all, so you’re countering a point I never made. Nor did you really offer any counter to my first point beyond “Nope, you’re wrong. I’m right.”

It was a routine hockey scrum. It happens in literally every game. If it’s not a penalty, and it wasn’t because neither of the refs felt it was until they realized he was injured, you can’t suddenly call a penalty because someone was injured. Statsny didn’t bodyslam him, it was a scrum off the face off, someone fell like happens in every game but unfortunately he fell awkwardly and landed on his head. Which likely wouldn’t have been an issue if the NHL ever enforced its chinstrap rule. If I make a legal play, and someone gets seriously injured due to a freak accident, you can’t suddenly make up a penalty because the crowd is yelling at you. EDIT: And the fact it was called on the wrong person really proves it was reactionary and they saw nothing wrong with the play as it happened live.

Also we have the best goal scorer of this era beating up teenagers and mocking referees.

I will say that for the continuing stretch, San Jose is going to need Pavelski so hopefully, he can return to the team after he gets rightfully cleared (no clearing before he is ready to come back) from what I think is an obvious concussion.

You'd give Stastny a penalty for a guy getting cross-checked into him?
