Does WWE have a Saudi Arabian wrestler to put over in this tournament? Manny fabarino? <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 22.40000000000009px; height: 3.4200000000000017px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_95519779" scrolling="no" width="22.40000000000009" height="3.4200000000000017"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 22.4px; height: 3.42px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1061px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_333978" scrolling="no" width="22.40000000000009" height="3.4200000000000017"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 22.4px; height: 3.42px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 111px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_19569131" scrolling="no" width="22.40000000000009" height="3.4200000000000017"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 22.4px; height: 3.42px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1061px; top: 111px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_27173838" scrolling="no" width="22.40000000000009" height="3.4200000000000017"></iframe> He's in NXT.
Iran does have Ariya Daivari, but he's out with a neck injury so he won't be getting his ass handed to him at this event.
I mean being in nxt wouldn’t stop them if they were told to put a Saudi guy over

Braun should be defending the Green Belt. They should make the Triple Threat winner take all, both green and red titles.

Braun should be defending the Green Belt. He should have carried it around. It was a damn good looking belt.

I feel like that might happen with Miz feeling he got cheated somehow wins entry into this making a triple threat and maybe Joe gets in the mix also, though I don't really see how after his match. I will say these international shows have to be nice for the people in the crowd (though I didn't really like watching GRR on a screen while uninterested rich people got front row seats.) But... they've had the effect of stretching out feuds and adding more hours to the main roster when there's already enough. I hope, going forward, that there are actually just televised live events without title matches and big fanfare. yeah, I found Super Show Down to be boring, honestly. It might've been because I watched it live and was actually tired, however, because I did find The Greatest Royal Rumble to be more enjoyable. Who knows.

This thread has a disappointing lack of Jimmy Rave in it.

Since WWE is now in the business of doing vanity shows for royalty, I say we pool our money together and get our own vanity show.

I'm a sucker for tournaments and Styles v Bryan could be good. HBK is my all time fave but I get the feeling his comeback will just make me sad watching cos he's so far past it.

So this tournament is 8 man...is billed as a 'world' cup, and so far has 2 Americans in it with a third guaranteed as Orton/Big Show is scheduled as a qualifying match. The other match is Joe/Hardy, so even though they are billing Joe as from 'Samoa' (sigh), your're really looking at 4 US guys in the tournament at least.
Nice.

Please let Brock vs Roman vs Braun headline this, there is no way 4 dudes with a combined age of 206 and with 3 retirements between them should be the match that goes on last.
That Triple Threat should be great, but I am certain Braun is taking the pin for his 5th failure in a UC Title match, and that is going to kill his heat even further.

What in crikey happened to the formatting in this reply? You know, I like these special events that happen at random times and not the standard 6PM CST as the regular ppvs. Sure it's fun talking to others on the site as I watch them but there's something different about watching it on a Saturday morning after it's done and then letting it process without anyone's opinions influencing your own. As a UK viewer, I just like being able to watch a show without also having to watch the sun coming up. I will say these international shows have to be nice for the people in the crowd (though I didn't really like watching GRR on a screen while uninterested rich people got front row seats.) But... they've had the effect of stretching out feuds and adding more hours to the main roster when there's already enough. It might've been because I watched it live and was actually tired, however, because I did find The Greatest Royal Rumble to be more enjoyable. Who knows. I watched Showdown on delay having watching GRR live, and I thought both shows blew, but that the latter was better. So this tournament is 8 man...is billed as a 'world' cup, and so far has 2 Americans in it with a third guaranteed as Orton/Big Show is scheduled as a qualifying match. What the f***, I thought the previous reply was a joke. Show hasn't even been on TV in months. Isn't he on Raw? Or is he a free agent too? Show up in a green shirt, Show, I'm begging you.

Speaking as someone who traveled to WrestleMania and got to witness Shawn's last match live, I was really hoping he'd stay retired. The Streak ending was another emotional moment for me as a longtime fan, which was also undone. Twice, in fact. WWE tries so hard to force HISTORIC MOMENTS, but when it actually genuinely creates some, it then does things to make them no longer count, leaving the fans who were a part of those big moments no longer special. As a business move I get it, but as a fan that sure makes it hard to emotionally invest in the current product. Just saying.

Is anybody feeling kinda queasy about this event after that journalist got murdered? It all feels so wrong. Money doesn’t make it right.

Is anybody feeling kinda queasy about this event after that journalist got murdered? It all feels so wrong. Money doesn’t make it right. It’s hard to comment on it here with it so closely tied to political matters. All I know are two things... 1. WWE isn’t the only US-based company doing business with Saudi Arabia, so I’d hope that those who feel strongly about this are taking it up with those other companies as well 2. As much as WWE probably should do something in regards to this, it shouldn’t be their responsibility to in the first place. It’s a duty more suited to those who were explicitly positioned to deal with those matters, not those running a pro wrestling promotion
