The good ol' Darren Young finish.
Loser takes a nap and wins while the opponents take each other out.

Seeing a jobber/underdog/low midcard guy win is my pick. With the exception of the 1st 2 (Duggan & Studd), every Rumble winner has pretty much been a guy they wanted to be WWF/E champ, had been a WWF/E champ or was the WWE/F champ. No. 30 winning by default would have to NOT be a babyface (so this person could properly bask in the disdain over not having "earned" their victory). The Rumble also could NOT be the final match of the evening (because a default win is an awful way to close a show). So chances are WWE would do both of those things and then wonder why everyone is shitting on their PPV. Unless that #30 entrant was none other than ROMAN REIGNS!Best PPV ending ever!

well once they switched it up to be the winner gets a title shot at wrestlemania the number of people who realistically would have a shot at winning it dropped dramatically, and forget about it if you're a midcard or lower guy. don't remember which rumble that was though

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

The first option. Number 30 counts down with no one in the ring, thus immediately becoming the winner. It'd be awesome if it was an underdog, someone who had absolutely no chance of winning otherwise. You have two guys two a double elimination right before too. Like Reigns and Cena or something. They both look around flabbergasted as Heath Slater or Curtis Axle come out and win the Rumble. Take the Mania title shot off him through some f***ery in the interim, or do a Rocky thing and have him go the distance against someone at Mania. With two world titles you have the wiggle room to make this storyline work WITHOUT sacrificing a good main event build. It would be a lot of fun. Santino was their shot at this. Santino wins the Rumble. The next night, the Champion mocks him. Talks about how with Santino as the challenger, he has an easy night in store. Santino appears on the stage: "You might mock me, but I am a former Intercontinental champion, and like it or not, I DID win the Rumble. At Wrestlemania, I am going to surprised everyone and beat you!" He defends his shot against ADR at The Chamer PPV, and wins via fluke. The rest of the Mania build is Santino doing a series of training vignettes, touching on his MMA backround. A sit down with Cole where he talks about he's not a joke, and he's taking a serious shot at the title. Mania comes, and he fights his ass off and narrowly loses.

Number 30 winning be default would be such an anti-climax though.

I keep saying it but Santino really should have won that Rumble.
