I love Batista. I love HHH. But I don’t want to see this feud.
For me that ended 12 years ago. And it was awesome. What’s the point in doing it again? So HHH can get his win back? Come on man.
Look I think there’s major $$$ to be made with another Batista run.
Batista vs Brock is a blockbuster main event. “The Beast vs The Animal” writes itself. Brock will have truly met his match with Big Dave and I would be happy to see that main event a WM.
On top of this, Batista is miles better as a heel. I even think he could have another run in him as a heel feuding with the likes of Roman, Styles, Bryan, etc. But as a ONE OFF? You’ve got to do Batista vs Brock in my opinion.
Your thoughts on this?

I'm sure Triple H was.

I heard/ read an interview with Batista that he wanted to have a match with Triple H at WrestleMania 35, but said the office snubbed him. This of course was before his return.

I have no interest in seeing it but I'm pretty sure Batista said it was his idea a while ago.

The crowd seemed to be pretty into the idea.

The crowd seemed to be pretty into the idea. The idea is one thing, seeing it actually happen is another. A lot of ideas WWE begins start great, but then they WWE it up and 9 times out of 10 it ends up sucking.

Big Dave has been fairly outspoken that he wants his retirement match to be with Triple H

I hate how the old timers always seem to want to work with other old timers. Batista vs. Strowman is still a 1000 times more interesting than Hunter vs. Batista part 1000.

These nostalgia matches have gotten to the point now where it's like a circus exhibit about dudes you liked from 15-20 years ago looking really old and shit as proof that we all die someday

It feels like another excuse for HHH to get a win he's never had before but I dunno, I'm not entirely adverse to it based on what we saw last night.

Meh, can't be much worse than the Taker/HHH match in Australia.

I have no desire to ever see the match, or for Triple H to ever wrestle again, or honestly for Batista to wrestle again either.
But I'll admit that segment did get me to mark a little when Batista delivered that line. Dave's still got it at least in the character work.

The Evolution segment was one of the best things WWE has done in a long time.

Lol is this happening? HHH heat syphoner strikes yet again! A returning Batista could have had a big match with Abu off the roster but yet again it's HHH trying to steal all the heat.

Dave will be 50 imN January. I can’t see how he’d be a credible threat to Brock.
Triple H? Perhaps it’ll be something to keep him from being the ultimate focus of Wrestlemania

Triple H turned this match down for a while to focus on putting over his top prospects while Batista campaigned hard for it, so can't put this one down as "greedy ego homunculus Triple H needs every loss avenged".
