The fact that Brock has a serious chance of getting the belt back is so disheartening. I feel bad for Roman and truly hope that he recovers and returns but his absence will be a huge opportunity for a number of guys who've been forced to play second fiddle despite being ready for this. Braun, Seth, Dean and Drew are all on fire and there's several other guys who could be too in short order. If Brock walks out with the belt WWE will have squandered so much. At this point there is zero reason for Braun to not have the belt.

After the end of the show tonight, I feel like it HAS to be Braun, we need some happy.

Hopefully Braun. He's over and a full time guy.
Also what gives me more hope is that they put him over BIG in Saudia Arabia at the GRR so keep that going and give him the main title!

If they put the belt back on Lesnar everyone should boycott Raw for the next decade. For a million reasons Strowman has to go over here.

If they hadn't just turned Braun back face, and if Brock were actually under contract, I'd be using this as the springboard for Drew McIntyre. Turn him face, have him cost Braun the title and then build to Drew beating Braun clean on route to beating Lesnar clean for the belt.
But, given the cards we have, I guess we do the incredibly anti-climatic Braun win at Crown Jewel. Just feels an incredibly flat time to do it, personally I would've scrapped the title match so there could be a proper tournament and build to the new Champ.

Brock's last run was built on talking about "real" complaints from fans about how his reign sucked and he was never there. I refuse to believe even WWE at their dumbest would be dumb enough to just give him the title back and resume that nonsense.

Dean needs it. He will be the hottest thing in the company for the foreseeable future. Braun might just be a transitional champ even if he does win

Not my opinion of what is best, but what I think will happen.
Brock gets the belt. This gives them time to take a breath and figure out what they want to do with their (perceived) top title. McIntyre has been protected like a bank vault, so I can’t imagine they would be putting the belt on a babyface champ (Braun) to either have him lose it to Drew immediately, or give up Drew’s heat by having him lose a feud for the title.
With Brock, you can have him take the belt and figure out who he should drop it to and when. It gives them the flexibility of moving Dean and/or Seth into the title picture as well. Brock can be a de facto face against Dean or Drew or the heel against the others. You can protect Braun by having Drew get involved & some kind of schmozz finish.
I’m as tired of Brock as anyone, but I think this is what they will do and why they will do it.

braun should get it as they have his first feud already set up with Drew already. though the chance that drew costs braun the title is also possible. though drew has been fairly smart to this point so he could just say "why wouldn't I want braun to win the title? so when I beat him i'm the champ. who knows when lesnar is going to show up to defend if he wins it." but in the end, the default seems to be "if roman not champ- then goto brock"

If it were closer to the Rumble I would guess no contest ending, with the title being up for grabs in the Rumble.

What they should have done was change the main event of CJ to fatal 4 way , Braun v Lesnar v Rollins v Ambrose , with Ambrose winning the belt and then turning on Seth after the match . Ambrose v Rollins fued until the Rumble - Braun wins the rumble and challenges Ambrose at Mania

Braun would be fun.
Brock would be hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

What they should've done was change the main event of CJ to fatal 4 way, Bryan vs. Lesnar vs. Strowman vs. Styles for the WWE Championship with the winner defending the title on both shows.

I really, really hope it's Braun. We had over 400 days with Lesnar and the title barely showing up, and it helped absolutely no one on the roster. Right now you've got Braun, McIntyre, Ambrose, and Rollins who are all easily worthy of being in world title programs for the foreseeable future. We don't need Brock.

Give it to Brawn and let him be a face.
He was on the verge of being a real star and WWE f***** it up.

I refuse to believe even WWE at their dumbest would be dumb enough to just give him the title back and resume that nonsense. Sadly, they've done his absentee reign twice and sacrificed some of the most over acts on the roster to him so I could see it happening again.

Consider that this time last year Braun was in essentially the same position. He'd been crazy protected, was one of the few people who had Roman's number and was insanely over. He went on to lose to Brock and have a pointless match at WM.

Just retire it, it's a meaningless belt.
