Due to circumstances beyond their control, WWE had to change the main event for Crown Jewel (NO DISCUSSION ABOUT THE WHERE THAT EVENT IS IN THIS THREAD PLEASE). We now have a one on one match between Braun and Brock for the title.
Now I could be wrong, but I'm assuming that the original plan in this case was that Roman would have somehow managed to get the win here, as I don't see the original plans having the Universal Championship changing hands (the WWE Championship might still, but that's a whole different kettle of fish).
But now, which path will WWE go?
The path they SHOULD go in my eyes is give Braun the belt at long last. He turned face again this past show, is credible enough, and has a ready made feud with McIntyre ready for him afterwards.
On the other hand, WWE higher ups (mainly Vince I'm sure) still have a thing for Lesnar, and I'm sure if they threw enough money his way he wouldn't mind being the human storage unit for the title again while they reset their plans with Roman gone for however long.
So what do you think? Do they go back to how they were, or do they try something new?

They need to put the f***ing belt on Braun and do him vs. Drew for it. f*** Brock.
That said, I think Brock's winning it.

I hope they put it on Strowman. I don't KNOW if they will, but it would be the best option for WWE going forward.

4 times Braun has stepped up to the plate, 4 times he has failed. Quite simply, in the match for the vacant belt, Braun has to beat Brock Lesnar.
So yeah, I expect Beastie Boy to win the title again.

Thinking it'll be Braun. They need a top face, particularly with Dean and Drew probably the top heels, with Brock doing MMA.

That's what I think too but then the IC title is still in play so I wonder what'll happen with that belt. Maybe Ziggler wins it off of Rollins due to Ambrose or something, who knows. |

That's what I think too but then the IC title is still in play so I wonder what'll happen with that belt. Maybe Ziggler wins it off of Rollins due to Ambrose or something, who knows. In the interim, i'd throw it back on Ziggler since you still need heat for him and Drew
Have Dolph be the reason why Drew losses his feud to Braun over the Universal title and then you can easily transition the IC belt over to Drew who can catch a few bodies in the interim

Braun's winning and feuding with Drew for the title. Yeah, WWE and Roman have no clue when he'll be back and they have a huge void to fill with Roman's absence. With them flipping Braun, having him cut a babyface promo like he did, and setting up at least his first feud with Drew, I would be shocked to see Brock win. That top face spot is open and Seth seems a bit busy at the moment. |

The only other person in recent memory who was this over and didn't get a shot at the gold was Ryback but that's cause of his backstage rep.

He seems to be loved by most but they have been trying to put Roman on top for 4 or 5 years now and being Vince's pet project, they would never move him to SDL. |

Well. I still somehow doubt Braun goes over Brock clean (Thats IF he's winning)..so I'd expect Drew shenanigans. Like a misplaced claymore kick to Lesnar.
But maaaan I find it all too believable they put the belt back on Brock. And we are officially back on square 1.

They can let AJ finally main-event and just have Braun wrestle squash or odds against him matches til he drops it. |
