Another example from that same year was Judgment Day. I didn't care for OJ vs. Heidenreich or Big Show vs. Carlito, but I did like the rest of the card. This is the same PPV that came to my mind.

SummerSlam 1989 is such a fun watch. A great opener between the Hart Foundation and Brain Busters, Rick Rude carried Warrior to one of his best ever matches in the IC title match, and an incredibly heated main event in Hogan/Beefcake vs. Macho Man/Zeus.

It was tag team heavy, but I always thought the 1992 Great American Bash was good. The wrestling was great from top to bottom, and the two main events had clean finishes.

Spring Stampede 94. The final Flair/Steamboat match is great anfor some really good stuff on the card.

Battleground 2016 tends to fly beneath radar. The excellent Shield 3-way and Zayn/Owens: The Finale (in retrospect, quite laughable) were worth the price of admission alone, but there's couple other bright spots on the card like Bayley as Sasha's mystery partner and a real fun segment/match with Enzo/Cass/Cena vs The Club. I adored Battleground ‘16. It was just a fun show top to bottom that had a ton of memorable visuals.

SummerSlam '91. Bret vs. Perfect was the one really good match athletically, but most of the rest was fun, or built up some good moments. I loved that PPV. Bossman/Mountie was good (loved the ending with Bossman hitting an absolutely sick looking Alabama slam) LOD/Nastys was a fun brawl Virgil/DiBiase was a good story, and surprisingly good match

Most of the WWE PPVs from 2008. I'll pick No Mercy, since I was there. 2008 is such an underrated year for the WWE in general. It's a consistently great year on PPV. Great wrestling, good storytelling and satisfying outcomes. It's hard to believe they were once capable of it.

People only bring it up for the Cena surprise, but Royal Rumble 08 as a whole show is great in its own right.

People only bring it up for the Cena surprise, but Royal Rumble 08 as a whole show is great in its own right. Speaking of Rumbles, the Royal Rumble Match In 2010 has some great booking. One of, if not the best, booked Rumbles of the decade. It had the magic combination of being broken up into parts (Punk ruling the ring, HBK fighting to get a match with Taker, Edge returning), not a lot of downtime, and participants being generally busy. So the 2010 Royal Rumble may be worth a mention. Although looking at the card the rest of it isn’t that spectacular. Christian pulled a good match out of Ezekiel Jackson and Undertaker/Rey had a solid title match, but that’s about it. Miz/MVP had a decent but forgettable US title match, Mickie James and Michelle McCool had a 20 second throwaway, and the Sheamus/Orton match was underwhelming. Still for a Rumble PPV, three good to great matches is beyond respectable.

Survivor Series 1995 due to being in that year. Incredible ppv and up until that point was the best Survivor Series. Really, the only match that wasn't entertaining was Goldust vs Bam Bam. I had given up on the WWF and then a buddy of mine sent me this show. It was a lot of fun.
