Angle right now is booked how a 40+ year old legend should be booked. Trips, Taker, all those other old dudes are booked way too strong. Yea, pretty much this You are a legend but that doesn't mean you're not older and a little slower so it makes sense you will lose to guys in the prime of their careers More guys should be booked like that if they are going to come back. Taker needs to take an L to someone currently on the active roster
Taker should have actually retired after the loss to Roman.

Taker should have actually retired after the loss to Roman. That too. Or at the very least retire Taker as a character and come back as himself or American Bad Ass They Def faked people after his whole song and dance losing to Roman and taking his coat and hat off

They did the same with the Hardyz upon their return. The rest of the legends they have to pony up big money to coax out of retirement. Angle and the Hardyz were working for peanuts in TNA (in comparison to what they had been making) and didn't come back under "we'll pay you shitloads of money to return for a quick run" circumstances.

I think in their eyes he was tainted by his TNA run.
I like Kurt a lot, but I wouldn't elevate him the way they do other legends. Conversely, I think they should treat the other legends more like they treat him. Booking broken down middle aged (at best) men as all-conquering superheroes who can still go like a 20 year old is: a) ridiculous, and b) damages their legacy.

He's booked like Rocky in Rocky 6. That's just perfect for him. And Taker been should have had his ass kicked. I remember in 2013 when he and Ambrose had that single's match on SD, I thought that was going to be it but I guess not. At least let Romey Rome send him off but now he had to come back.

Vince never forgets, he may forgive, but he definitely never forgets.
Kurt desperately needed rehab, and he was released from his contract so he could go and get serious help. Then he turned around and joined TNA.

Then he turned around and joined TNA. The issue is at least according to Kurt that WWE wanted him to continue working a full schedule while in the health he was in. Kurt wanted to work less days. Kurt probably thought WWE would never allow him to come back with a much more limited schedule so he joined TNA instead.

Disagree entirely HHH singhandily saved WWE in the Monday Night War when he stormed WCW in his tank.He should be booked stronger then anyone on the roster. Instead of losing to the Shield members at WM he should have beaten them in a 3 on 1 handicap match while blindfolded only using his intellegence and cunning.

They’ll always make it seem like the tank segment was a huge turning point in the Monday Night Wars when it never was. Just yet another moment of revisionist history to cater to the almighty HHH. It was cool to see but it probably barely would make the top 10 best moments of 1998 if you were to make a realistic list for best Raw moments of that year.

I thought the use of Kurt this last Monday was brilliant. WWE gave him a match but acknowledged his age and injuries and elevated Drew Galloway. It’s what they SHOULD be doing with their legends who can’t go anymore instead of having bullshit tag matches with a combined age of around 200 in the ring.

Mick Foley is one of the only other legends to come back and do this correctly, he just did it for way, way too long and way, way too many times.

I think Kurt said that when he was in the midst of his issues so was self-justifying.

Possibly, but Kurt was in such bad shape & they wanted him to continue wrestling until he told Vince he couldn’t anymore. I suppose we’ll never know for sure.

Trips does lose more often than not, and when he does win, it’s been against other veterans or Shane. I honestly can’t remember the last time he beat a younger guy, maybe Lesnar like six years ago?

He beat Ambrose a few years ago but obviously he was champ and going to drop the title at Mania to Roman and before that hmm.... Sheamus is the last I can think off the top of my head

Yeah, he’s done a pretty good job of putting people over this decade.

Yeah, he’s done a pretty good job of putting people over this decade. Except for Punk which was probably the most important one that he needed to lose to be fair. That hurt Punk’s momentum so bad when he worked with HHH & the aftermath of it all.
