Good lord, it's been so long since I last saw an episode of 13 Ghosts... I didn't even remember that it ended without an ending. And hey, if a movie like this is possible, maybe they'll actually get around to making that mega-crossover between Scooby-Doo, Josie & the Pussycats, Captain Caveman, Jabberjaw, and any other Hannah-Barbara property I'm forgetting about that involves a team of hip young mystery-solvers and their strange mascot character all getting together to solve the biggest mystery of all time. I tried writing the fanfiction myself, but every ending I could think of ended up with Old Man Jenkins as the culprit. There should've been a crossover with Wait Till Your Father Gets Home They're actually genuinely working on a Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe. Seriously. Wait Till Your Father Gets Home should be part of this I miss when they used to show all this on Boomerang

Maurice LaMarche, is there anything you can't do? Also, I'm getting this weird flashback to an old Scooby Doo episode during the run where it was only Shaggy and Daphne with Scooby and Scrappy where Fred and Velma show up as a surprise. Have to check if I'm making that up in my imagination. Nope, you ain't making it up. There was an episode where they did a "This is Your Life" sorta thing with Scooby Doo celebrating his birthday. And Velma and Freddy were the surprise guests. They showed an old mystery where Freddy and Scooby catch the ghost. And then things start to happen, and Freddy is nearly framed for the problems. But then it turns out that it was the villain who played the ghost, trying to get revenge on Freddy and Scooby. Fred and Velma also showed up on random other episodes of that season. IIRC, usually one at a time.

To explain why Flim-Flam seems to have aged while the others haven't: Shaggy and Daphne could have been 18-20 in the show, and even a ten year difference would have changed Flim-Flam considering how old he was in the show.
And yes, I'm curious to see if this leads to other incomplete shows and such getting movie finales. Though continuations don't always seem to work...*glances angrily at that show that claims to be continuing ReBoot...

Sadly that might conflict with the Netflix She-Ra series, as I think She-Ra was going to appear in that season.

I watched this on Spectrum's On Demand service about two weeks ago. It's good, but not as good as I hoped it would be. Honestly it felt like there was stuff missing. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The movie opens with them supposedly catching the wrong person committing the crime, leading to them getting admonished by the police and forcing their retirement. At the end Fred and Velma start thinking "no, we really didn't catch the wrong guy, something's not right here and we should unretire". But then the movie just ends and there's no real resolution on that. Is that supposed to get followed up in the next DTV? Do these DTV's usually have a serial nature like that? It just felt weird, like there was supposed to be an epilogue that just got cut for time.
Also at one point Flim Flam namedrops Scrappy and Velma has no idea who he's talking about. So while this brings 13 Ghosts into the DTV continuity, it apparently doesn't do the same for the early 80's Scooby cartoons that preceded it which featured Scrappy regularly interacting with all five original members of Mysteries Inc. Or something happened which forced the original team to have all memory of Scrappy removed from their minds, which honestly could make a cool story.

So who's next; Boo Brothers, Reluctant Werewolf or Ghoul School?
