Jack the Ripper: Case Closed
Anyone else read this yet? I bought it last week and finished up with it today. Fascinating read, not really a fun read necessarily, since it's a book building evidence about a notorious serial killer and details his crimes, but fascinating nonetheless, esp. since I've always been really interested in the whole Ripper mythos.
Essentially Patricia Cornwell ( the author natch) uses today's technology and foresnic evidence to build a case and reveal who she thinks is Jack, based on the suspect's childhood, personality, handwriting samples, DNA, etc etc. She actually names the killer early on ( and I believe the conclusion she came to based on her extensive and well presented evidence of not only the foresnic evidence, but this guy's psych profile-- I won't spoil it for anyone who wants to read it.)
Two thumbs from me.

I'll have to check it out. I seem to be drawn to they types of books that get me looked at funny - serial killers/mass murderers, Satanists, etc. - so it definitely sounds like the type of book I could get into.
Haven't heard anything about it, but I'll go to Barnes & Noble on Monday and see if they have it. Thanks for the recommendation.

I do reccomend it a lot. And barring some kinda major breakthrough out of nowhere evidence, I think Cornwall pretty well solves the mystery.
